Miller crying after knocking out Adamek
Re: Jarrell Miller vs. Tomasz Adamek - October 6, 2018
Well that was every bit as shite as most of us were expeeee knew it would be. I'm going to blame Hearn for this and give Miller a pass, but he really needs to fight someone bigger, younger, more relevant or failing that stop talking bollocks about other fighters ducking challenges.
He has the nerve to accuse Dillian Whyte of ducking Pulev when ...
1. Dillian didn't need to go to Sofia to earn a shot at Joshua, that fight happens regardless either in April or later.
2. Dillian fought Parker instead on PPV for more than double (probably way more) than he'd have got for Pulev.
3. Whyte has a far better resume than Miller and doesn't have Miller's aversion to risky fights.
4. Miller also did exactly what he lambasted Whyte for, and turned down Pulev. What a hypocrite !
5. Beating Pulev would have earned Miller a shot at Joshua. Whyte already has his ticket.
6. Miller doesn't want to fight Whyte or Joyce. He wants Charr's artificial WBA consolation belt. Pathetic !
I think Miller is one of the biggest threats to either Joshua or Wilder but if he's ever going to justify my estimation of him he's going to need to show some backbone. I like trash-talk but when the trash-talker doesn't also walk the walk, then he becomes just another loudmouth braggart.
Last thing: Those trunks Jarrell - makes you look like a grizzly in a tutu. It's embarrassing.

I'm pretty much over the whole Miller scenario.
I agree with what you posted, and I will go further to say Miller hasn't earned a shot at AJ.

Thanks Kiwi. No he hasn't but I expect he will be Joshua's first overseas opponent whether he deserves to be or not. As much as I admire Dillian Whyte for his attitude which puts Miller to shame, I have to confess I would pick Miller to beat him.KiwiRider wrote: ↑08 Oct 2018, 01:30Nice post Slimcandyslim wrote: ↑07 Oct 2018, 05:19 Well that was every bit as shite as most of us were expeeee knew it would be. That hurts me to say that and I've no doubt it would be highly competetive, but I don't think Dill can stop him, outlast him, or match him for punch volume.
Poor old Dillian. He fights tough opponents one after the other and that pudendum Wilder sends him a text telling him that he (Wilder) is going to make him (Whyte) wait two years for a title shot.
That' s basically an admission that Wilder (Haymon that is) controls the WBC isn't it?
In other breaking news the Japanese have launched an attack on Pearl Harbor

I haven't seen it either but Dillian Whyte showed his phone to one of those guys making videos on YouTube, calls his channel "Sporting Icons".
Yes it's not proof, he could be lying about it, but I seriously doubt it. He's a self-confessed fan of Whyte's but you do get a feel for who has integrity and who doesn't don't you?

Nice win for Miller!! Does Anthony Joshua still want to fight him here in the US, like he was saying a few months ago?
Re: Jarrell Miller vs. Tomasz Adamek - October 6, 2018
I've been saying for some time that Miller is a serious contender, and defending him against those who can't see it. He is built like a tank, shows amazing stamina for someone of his bulk, not the hardest of punchers but is second only to his buddy Kownacki in terms of punch volume, and while he hasn't been truly tested that neck alone suggests to me that only the division's elite punchers are likely to be in with a chance of hurting him.
Having said all that, I don't see how rolling over Adamek enhances his credentials in any way. I'll give our Polish posters a pass but anyone not emotionally invested, knew Adamek would pose no threat to Miller - too old, too shot, too small. A cynical piece of exploitation by Fast Eddie for the purposes of extracting the Zloty and the Dollar. Well he's a promoter - might as well complain about a dog barking
Joshua isn't one to shirk a challenge but I would counsel him to take on someone a little less formidable for his first fight on US soil, maybe Kownacki or Ruiz. Jennings even? I'd suggest familiarizing himself with the lie of the land then come back and face Miller on a return visit, or even save him for a stadium fight in the UK. In order to be worthy of that Miller will need to up his game though and take on someone considerably more threatening than Adamek. He should have taken the Pulev fight, he'd crush an inactive 37 year old Pulev and you can get McDonalds in Sofia, he had no excuse.![[icon_e_biggrin.gif] :D](./images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)

Re: Jarrell Miller vs. Tomasz Adamek - October 6, 2018
When Jarrell Miller's bout against the completely shot Tomasz Adamek was initially announced, I was disappointed, because this contest served no purpose, other than to add an extra victim to the American’s KO highlight reel.
Now I’m armed with the benefit of hindsight, with the outcome of Miller's bout against Adamek being known, I feel that my preconceived frustrations were entirely justified.
