And they will definitely do it all again.Impractical Poster wrote: ↑07 Oct 2018, 11:14They say how horrible it was... until a rematch is made and they run the chaos on a constant loop to promote it.
Awesome card. And what kind of a night would it have been without a bit of chaos at the end. The Irish probably had a proper shit once the Ruskis started going off.ironbeard wrote: ↑07 Oct 2018, 11:13 Amazing how dudes wearing skirts (figuratively speaking) come out of the woodwork to condemn actions taken by men in circumstances that the sheilas (figuratively speaking) have never been and will never be exposed to.

“Ghastly, Mildred! Simply barbaric.”
My only regret is that the post main bruhaha took the focus off the fact that this may have been TBE card in combat sports history.
For those (including the mascara prone - figuratively speaking) who missed it, there were four prelims of the very highest quality, that included two relatively hot lasses in a high tech rumble, a last minute KTFO comeback victory by Lewis over Drago, a last second KTFO by Reyes over St Preux, in an overall masterful performance by the American, and a Hagler / Hearns level battle of the ages between Ferguson and Pettis, ending with Pettis having to retire between 2 and three due to breaking his hand on Ferguson’s skull.
Absolutely phenomenal action. The only thing that made the main event more memorable was the post fight (largely) theatrics.
Crazy Conor already looking for a rematch. He gets mauled again.samwbr wrote: ↑07 Oct 2018, 11:16And they will definitely do it all again.Impractical Poster wrote: ↑07 Oct 2018, 11:14They say how horrible it was... until a rematch is made and they run the chaos on a constant loop to promote it.

In fairness, he's a strict Sunni Muslim and at the press conference, Conor kept deliberately offering him his whiskey despite knowing that fact.Covfefe wrote: ↑07 Oct 2018, 07:54I’m sorry but he’s a grown man. McGregor is just as bad too by the way I saw what he did with that coach earlier this year, so don’t think I’m defending him in some way as I don’t really care about either.handsofstone wrote: ↑07 Oct 2018, 07:50Don't know much about this but if McGregor has been bringing the family into then the gloves are off IMO, he deserves all he gets
I think the UFC will come crawling back to Khabib eventually anyway.Counter-puncher wrote: ↑07 Oct 2018, 08:57the hypocrisy as Imposter also says is laughable
I dislike McGregor so much that I'm not an objective onlooker, for me Khabib jumping the cage and singlehandedly starting on a mob is fvcking epic- it's like the Larry Holmes running broad jump at Berbick writ large. As far as damage done it's to either Khabib's career, ok he's fvcked himself silly lad, And to the UFC image. Although given the way they set this up as you say one can hardly shed tears for them on account of an athlete 'sullying the image' of a sporting brand that regularly embraced the gutter in the buildup
All in all, McGregor smashed, his millions of idiot fanboys back in their box, and the goons running the UFC look stupid, get their cash cow beaten and humiliated, and the only costs are to Khabibs career (hey ho) and the UFC brand underlining the totally classless way they have promoted this circus. Pretty good night all in all.
Seriously? Braver man than me...Nondescript wrote: ↑07 Oct 2018, 11:21In fairness, he's a strict Sunni Muslim and at the press conference, Conor kept deliberately offering him his whiskey despite knowing that fact.Covfefe wrote: ↑07 Oct 2018, 07:54I’m sorry but he’s a grown man. He said his father was a coward and was only friendly with the warlord leader of Chechnya out of false respect. That in itself could be dangerous for Khabibs family as
Ramzan Kadyrov is already known to be a loose cannon and Dagestan and Chechnya are quite closely linked in certain ways.
He said Dagestan was a country full of backwards people who had been destroyed by Russia and pushed to the edge of cliffs (that's an extremely sensitive geopolitical topic in itself).
Then McGregors team mate, the one that Khabib jumped into the crowd after, had been creating memes of the prophet Mohammed drinking Conor McGregors proper 12 whiskey.
There's lots of other examples I can't even think of right now, but it was extremely personal stuff.
By who?!

So far . . . certain elements of the planet have very long memories when it comes to visual degradation of the omnipotent figment of their imaginations and its prophet.
I was thinking that following their first presser. Conor talks a lot of shit. But I felt he crossed a dangerous line during that presser. People have died for saying much less. And he said it on such a big stage. I wouldn't be at all surprised to hear Conor has been offed. That's how messed up the things he said were. Speech is free, but there are consequences. His ego has gotten out of control.
Just saw a video of 10 or so Russians, I think, surrounded by a slew of Irish fans. One of the Irish guys came close to them with middle fingers raised, and he got sparked out cold.Nondescript wrote: ↑07 Oct 2018, 11:30I saw 2 videos doing the rounds on Twitter of some Irish lads getting knocked out cold by (looking at their appearance) either Dagestanis or people from the Caucuses regionImpractical Poster wrote: ↑07 Oct 2018, 11:17Awesome card.
