canelo vs rocky fielding
Re: canelo vs rocky fielding
It’s all about command of distance. Lemieux doesn’t have it. Golovkin and Canelo do. End of story.

Canelo beats them all.
Hasn't he proved his skill set yet to some of you?
Like Lemiuex would have been much of a challenge.

Re: canelo vs rocky fielding
He's a quality fighter no doubt about it, in fact one of the best middleweights currently active, maybe even one of the two best. It's just a shame he carries that stench of corruption about with him. I'm not saying GGG got robbed this time but I'm sure he would have been, had a robbery been necessary.
Of course Alvarez can shake off that stench but that will involve travelling to other cities. Will he do that? I doubt it.

Re: canelo vs rocky fielding
Must be a tuneup on free tv. Not worth paying anything extra, or they don’t care how fans think. Fielding may be legit but he’s fought nobody. Charlo was only suspended in California, why not somewhere else. The winner of Andrade and Saunders is out there and legit. Daniel Jacobs is waiting. Derevyanchenko, Julian Williams, Lemieux, gosh all these guys get skipped for fielding?
Re: canelo vs rocky fielding
Lemieux has one punch knockout power, canelo does not. Canelo is the better boxer but can be hit.
Re: canelo vs rocky fielding
Canelo can be hit by someone skilled like GGG but Lemieux is pretty crude by comparison. I'm sure he wouldn't land much on Canelo and it's not like Canelo doesn't have a good chin.

The TV rights for this fight haven’t been agreed yet, as they’re currently being negotiated, which means the bout could be televised by HBO (it's not 2019 yet), ESPN, Showtime or DAZN. Both Eddie Hearn and Eric Gomez have confirmed this.Yanassi wrote: ↑08 Oct 2018, 06:55 Must be a tuneup on free tv. Not worth paying anything extra, or they don’t care how fans think. I sincerely doubt that this bout will be covered by a free-to-air network TV channel.

Safricying Fielding? Or getting a young lad from Stockbridge village a pay day of a lifetime and the chance to fight 1 of the best fighters in the world?SenorPipino wrote: ↑05 Oct 2018, 17:33Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑05 Oct 2018, 17:29Canelo’s pay needs PPV money. Imagine the flood of Latino subscribers if Hearn was able to lock in Canelo long term.
Pure genius.
ESPN and Showtime have PPV platform.
Is ESPN's app any more lucrative than DAZN in terms of what it pays the fighters?
I still think some long-term DAZN negotiations have been made between Hearn and GBP.
Hearn agreed to sacrifice Fielding and his belt in exchange for future Canelo appearances.
I doubt this has anything to do with a long term contract. It's just an easy way for Canelo to move up and pick up a belt and a big pay day for Fielding

So, is it at full 168 or a catchweight?

Payday of a lifetime? Now that's appealing !Wa1nuts wrote: ↑08 Oct 2018, 09:33Safricying Fielding? The chance to fight one of the best fighters in the world? Gulp I think I'll take a rain-check
Of course I'm not a young, ambitious, tough, fit, skilled and courageous pro boxer - that probably makes a difference.

Really. I give you bjs .none of the rest can touch canelo. Watching the the ggg v Saul 2 I gave ggg. But after watching it sober I think Saul did enough to win it I was brought up to belive if you want the belt you go take it.saul pressed all fight and not aimlessly. But With convictionadislav123 wrote: ↑06 Oct 2018, 21:59"King of the middleweights"!? Did you miss out on his last 2 fights? Jacobs, Saunders, Charlo would beat him in a fairly judged fight, Derev, Sulecki & a few others would give him a tough fight, Lemieux would probably knock him out if he fights him like he fought GGG.brilo33 wrote: ↑06 Oct 2018, 20:24saul would batter lemieux like Kirkland , he is king of the middleweight with out a shadow ,boxing_rocks wrote: ↑06 Oct 2018, 17:11 Lemieux would be a riskier fight plus after getting Fielding's paper belt, Canelo will call himself a "3-division world champion". Two very good reasons to pick Rocky over David.

Canelo playing it safe after getting two gift decisions against GGG

Re: canelo vs rocky fielding
This fight doesn't do anything for me.
Re: canelo vs rocky fielding
It’s for Fielding’s super middleweight title, so it should be at 168.
Re: canelo vs rocky fielding
so you rate jacobs top of the tree then in middleweights , i say now he will lose to the Ukrainian fighterboxing_rocks wrote: ↑14 Oct 2018, 23:00Jacobs can't touch Canelo??? WTF ? Re: canelo vs rocky fielding
Rehydration clause. second weigh in morning of the bout, both to be under 178. tailormade for canelo, rocky is forced to stay partially drained & change the procedure his body is used to for years.
Of course not unheard of, still shitty move, shows they still deem it necessary to protect the guy who is supposed to be nr.1 pound for pound and will clean out the division, against a guy, who everybody called bum after he got blasted away against smith.

Re: canelo vs rocky fielding
same guys complaining of rehydration clause probably go on about how poor ggg was only a natural mw fighting so much bigger guys. but omg danny weighed 250 pounds on fight day, thats why he skipped 2nd weigh in!

Mate you’re a fan of boxing and seem to know boxing. Let go of the argue mongering. Start enjoying life. Get out of the house, go for a walk, talk to people.

Re: canelo vs rocky fielding
The 10lbs rehydration clause for the Canelo-Fielding bout is nothing but a storm in a teacup.
Rocky Fielding didn’t need to employ acute/drastic dehydration weight loss techniques for his bout against Tyron Zeuge.
The Brit supposedly doesn’t enter camp massively overweight, he remains at a sensible weight and he only tends to lose weight during the final ten days of training. He apparently doesn’t put on much more than ten pounds between the official weigh-in’s and fight night anyway.
Both Eddie Hearn and Rocky Fielding have downplayed the significance of the rehydration clause when they claimed that they “weren’t bothered” about it. And if that’s really the case, then neither should we be.
