Will Tyson Fury run or is this going to be a brouhaha against Wilder ?
Will Tyson Fury run or is this going to be a brouhaha against Wilder ?
Do you think Tyson Fury is going to run against Deontay Wilder or will he stand and trade at some point ?
Re: Will Tyson Fury run or is this going to be a brouhaha against Wilder ?
He'll run and when Wilders in close he'll wrestle , HE WILL NOT STAY IN PUNCH RANGE
Re: Will Tyson Fury run or is this going to be a brouhaha against Wilder ?
Fury should aim to stick and move and generally use the same strategy that he did against Wlad.
Re: Will Tyson Fury run or is this going to be a brouhaha against Wilder ?
He’ll run less than his cousin did against Parker. I would call that running. I would call what Tyson does ‘moving’. He might move less than pre Wlad as he has much more weight on him now - which means he might get clipped.

Tyson Fury will definitely not run against Wilder. He might hover in-and-out of punching range, but he won’t constantly try to avoid Deontay’s shots.
That being said, I don’t expect to see the Brit to consider trading unless the American shows signs of distress.
I don’t think I’ve ever witnessed a Tyson Fury bout where all he did was run around the ring.

That's what he'll be trying to do for 12 rounds. He will be wary all fight and certainly won't be trying to stand and engage with Wilder.
He is the Floyd Mayweather of the heavyweight division. Boastful, controversial, attention seeking, hyper aggressive, confrontationally arrogant outside the ring.
Inside the ring rather paradoxically he can be seen either as an elusive peerless stylist - or an action-avoiding sleep inducing bore.
You take your pick.

If he doesn't run, he will get clumped.

He definitely won't stay there and start trading with Wilder, I think he will try and enforce the same game plan as he did with Wlad.
Re: Will Tyson Fury run or is this going to be a brouhaha against Wilder ?
I think, Tyson will use the same strategy as he used against Wlad. Jab and move, stay out of Wilder's range. You don't need to engage with a puncher.

Wilder's shots you see coming for a mile & a half, if fury doesn't stick his chin out out of pure idiocy, wilder can't hurt him. Please watch wilder's knockout reel or his showtime career profile on you-tube & after you stopped laughing, tell me he's able to knock out a natural boxer like fury. Air gloves, air, gloves, gloves, gloves, air, air, gloves, air, gloves, air, gloves, air & air! That's where wilder's wild swings will land in that order the whole fight long, while fury will counterpunch the shit out of him.

He'll box sensibly and circle Wilder all night to a clear points win.

He can run but it won’t stop him getting knocked out.

Wilder got so damn lucky (plus the illegal breather he got at the most crucial moment of the fight, ffs, the ref even gave him the chance to "walk it off" by sending him, still staggering, to the neutral corner after the fake examination!!) against ortiz. Wilder couldn't believe it himself as he accidentally caught ortiz again and they waived it off immediately.

I'm sure Wilder's deep pocket handlers will put the judges and ref and actors playing the role of ring doctor, TV announcers, drug testers, etc., on the payroll, as always, since all along they have planned to cash out on him in a big money fight vs Joshua.

Obviously all of the knock outs he has had were from the judges.Ilya Muromets wrote: ↑13 Oct 2018, 13:22 I'm sure Wilder's deep pocket handlers will put the judges and ref and actors playing the role of ring doctor, TV announcers, drug testers, etc., on the payroll, as always, since all along they have planned to cash out on him in a big money fight vs Joshua.

That's why knockout is best. Next best is shutout. After that, anything goes.Ilya Muromets wrote: ↑13 Oct 2018, 13:22 I'm sure Wilder's deep pocket handlers will put the judges and ref and actors playing the role of ring doctor, TV announcers, drug testers, etc., on the payroll, as always, since all along they have planned to cash out on him in a big money fight vs Joshua.

A KO of course, and it needs to be a quick one too, before the ring doctor can pause the fight to "examine" the rubber legged Wilder. But a mere totally one sided shutout won't stop boxing judges.
Re: Will Tyson Fury run or is this going to be a brouhaha against Wilder ?
Will he run? Is that a rhetorical question? He might even bring a bike into the ring. When Wilder gets within 3 feet it will be a clinch fest. Run. Jab. Clinch. Repeat.

Wilder is a mediocre fighter, except of course for his deadly punching power, so the trick is to stay out of his ideal punching range, get inside and or slide away or clinch. If Fury is up to form i expect him to make it look easy.

Yes the trick is to make it fugly and boring.Ilya Muromets wrote: ↑13 Oct 2018, 18:32

Re: Will Tyson Fury run or is this going to be a brouhaha against Wilder ?
problem is for a long range fighter, that wilder himself is most deadly with the right hand from the outside.
i can see wilder missing clumsly for a few rounds, but i think eventually that right hand lands with good extension and drops fury . once that happens, i think furys done for
fury used to show a pretty decent inside game before he got super negative. with uppercuts and body work. it might be in his best interest to get in close , inside that right hand, and tat times actually work rather then just hold. try to lean on wilder too.
