I don’t think anyone is writing him off, or should even think of it. Tonnes of boxers lose on their first step uo or even before they even step up and can have fantastic careers. He’s 25, more chance of him going upwards here.

Ive gotta be honest and say those first 3 rounds I was actually starting to see the ludicrous Geordie Golovkin comparisons, Ritson was walking Patera down, cutting the ring off excellent and thudding home some really hurtful looking jabs, I was loving it

That was about as good as got and I'm still thankful I never posted anything referring to Geordie Golovkin

I'm writing him off. In the sense that he will never beat Patera or get to world level. Patera had him badly hurt at times let's not forget. It was a very simple case of a fighter being exposed as a fraud. Let's remember ritson was 1/100 at the bookies and many were tipping him for world honours. That's completely off the table now. He will end up building back up and getting stopped at fringe world level. What we never saw before was how easily he got hurt. Patera is no puncher.
