I’d still favour AJ in each matchup though

My gut instinct from following the sport since the early 1980s is that FW doesn't believe in him and he's the guy who is up close and knows what's going on.

If he truly believed in him then there would be a fight against at top 15-20 guy minimum... A name who was close to retirement...something other than the two fairground shows we've seen.

If FW thought he could win he'd be giving him a little more seasoning first.

I hope I'm wrong but I think Wilder will do his usual trick...get out-boxed for half a dozen rounds and then end it.

Yup, his 2 matchups wouldn't even have been good sparring partners for the level TF wants to compete at.

Fury’s stamina is going to be the key factor in this fight. Wilder doesn't have the ability to catch a fit Fury.

If he's got it I think he wins. If he doesn't then he'll lose.

The jury is definitely still out.

LOL ,, I could make my granny look good on the pads , thats if she's still there when i dig her up ..

. With Fury , you don't know , remember pre Klitchko days , fans were getting sick of the mumbo jumbo with him , and talking about his refusal one way or the other to step up , pulling out ect ect , Then he went for the big one ,, he's doing the same here , i have NO DOUBT , he'll be getting good sparring these other 2 fights were just to get him in the ring and make it public , Tyson knows his boxing , he knows them 2 fights were useless in his prep for Wilder , its the sparring that he will be concentrating on , he has the experience ,

But i still maintain without Peter or another succesful coach behind him , he is making it hard for himself , Tyson is'nt a big puncher , he's a technician who has learnt to use his size to his advantage , , and for that my thoughts anyway are he needs a trainer who is experienced , can read a fight in seconds , and offer the alternative route , in seconds , , Peter is a quiet spoken man , but i bet you any money when he said from the sidelines , jab Tyson , right hand Tyson , then Tyson would of been tuned into his voice , coming from years of coaching from the side and listening to the voice , that i feel will be missing and probably cost him the fight ,

Yeah I'd definitely be more confident with Peter in the corner.

We all know he could have done with 12 rounds with some one his own size, maybe a passive Helenius and then a fight with someone who could beat him, who was aggressive, and then one of the top 2.

And I think that was FW plan, but I think this came up, if they say no they're out of the picture for a while and the worry is how long does Tyson's new found interest last?

But I'm amazed at people. When Fury was scheduled against Chisora the first time members of this forum picked Chisora.
When He fought Hammer they picked Hammer. When he rematched Chisora people picked Chisora.
Most picked Wlad to stop him.
They called him slow and plodding. They said he had no chin they said he had no skill.
Then he beats Wlad and thakes a couple of years off and his myth grew to astronomical proportions.
Now the people who said he no talent are saying he's shot.

Fuggin make up your minds :witzend: … If Fury wins people will say he just exposed the bum Wilder
If Wilder takes out Fury he beat a shell of the former great.
It is a no win situation for either guy :witzend:
im not really sure that people were going for hammer and chisora in the rematch? i was under the impression that fury was a clear favorite for those fights. hammer hadnt even gotten his siganture wins vs price and teper yet, so i cant imagine that many people thought hed beat fury.

the first chisora fight he was a little tested prospect so i understand that

but im pretty sure for the fights hes had hes really only been underdog in first chisora fight (close odds) and obviously the wlad fight

The betting odds were in Fury's favor but go back and read the predictions on here.

There was a clear bias against Fury

is he shot? he doesn't look to be. ... either way it is a big challenge to face wilder. fury probably needs that type of challenge to get motivated. remember he was bored of boxing after the klitschko bout. may the best man win!

He's not shot, shot fighters are the result of taking too much punishment over a period of time, and suddenly their once good chin starts to let them down,.Tyson doesn't fit into this bracket,he probably is just not as fit as he was, still think he beats Wilder on a boring points win.

Tyson isn't shot, surely a shot fighter is someone who through injury or just carrying on too long doesn't have what they once had? Ie David haye.

We don't know what Tyson has left and that is what makes the wilder fight interesting.

So many questions that are raised.

Is Tyson ready to step up from fighting a piano to fighting a world champion.

Does Tyson have the herky jerky style he had down to a tee?

Does he have the fitness to move for 12 rounds to avoid the wilder windmills?

This. I could see Wilder landing and winning a shootout against Joshua, Fury beating Wilder and Joshua battering Fury.

Got to favour Joshua in both fights though.

I keep thinking we’ll look back in 3 years and laugh that so many couldn’t pick a clear number 1 out of the 3. I think Joshua will beat both comfortably in the end.

And does anyone believe fury?

He will bleat on about knocking out wilder, meeting him in the middle and trading. He knows if he does that then he loses as wilder will likely catch him clean

Wilder could spark aj but fury is too clever for him aj doesn't present nearly enough movement as fury and that could be his downfall
