Then wrote some pre-amble https://boxingwriter.co.uk/2018/10/16/m ... ter-in-10/.

Had a ton of feedback, mostly supporting the theory he should've been pulled out. To my mind, the words were evidence enough of a lost sense of priority but the tone, the body language, the facial expressions from both parties only added to that feeling.
That was a well written piece :TU:

Bakole should have been retired from that fight.

Well it is back to the drawing board for him. If he really has the goods he will rise to the top eventually.

Yeah good piece mate, if Nelson was telling Bakole to throw the right hand after it was injured then that's shocking, no problem with Billy telling him to jab his head off for the last 2 rounds but telling him to throw the right is poor, poor cornerwork

Bakole showing he hasn't got the heart for top level boxing though, its not rare for cornermen to gee their men up in the corner when their feeling sorry on themselves but Bakole clearly nowhere near as good as Nelson thought he was, neither mentally or physically, Bakole's head movement was non existent, I cant see them working together again

An interesting point of view and one I support.

Excellent piece :TU: Good point about the Channel 5 coverage too - if the fight had been on Sky, we’d have been watching betting adverts instead of getting the corner instructions.

Started it 11 years ago as an easy way to post articles without the rigmerole of submitting them elsewhere. i enjoyed messing with the website too. Taken it a touch more seriously the past 14 months. Opportunities fall out of it all the time.

I really should write for more established outlets for bigger readership and better returns.

Thanks for asking.
