Is Canelo bite off more than you can chew? I mean there is a huge gap in size between him and Fielding.

It may be a tough fight for Canelo.

The gap in skill level is huge. Canelo handles him easily on route to a one sided UD, if not a tko victory.

Rocky Fielding is not good enough compared to Canelo to get some serious advantage from that size. Still, more dangerous than Lemieux. Not a big fan of this fight, but considering it is only 3 months after GGG fight, i can take it :box: :box: :box:

Yes only 3 months past a big difficult fight. You got to respect him for going right out again.
I hope we get to see Canelo every 3 months that would be impressive.

Back to this fight I just don't see Fielding having the chin to last too long with Canelo, The guy has some power

Eh looking at Rocky briefly. His chin is a question mark, his punches when he’s under pressure are...less than impressive. Not to mention Canelo is hard to hit and can bring that pressure. I see him being koed.

nope, the ability disparity trumps the size disparity here

now, vs callum smoth, i think canelo would seriously have his hands full. even bigger then fielding and much better. canelo would look even more like a dwarf and vs a better fighter then here

I agree but yeahh, most probably Canelo is testing the waters at smw and if all goes well then probably he's gonna fight Callum, Zurdo, Benavidez, CEJr vs DeGale winner etc.

Canelo is staying active and that's a good thing.

It's just size. Mostly height.

Talent s always the most important thing. Rocky isn't particularly fast and certainly hasn't been in with any notable opposition, save Smith.

And we know how that turned out for him.

Promoters will try to sell this fight based on the physical size difference.

It helps to make Canelo look like a munchkin here. Some will buy the con that he's overmatched in size and strength.

But he'll hold his own physically and his vastly superior talent will rule.

Tickets at MSG are reportedly selling briskly.

Handpicked.

They’re not tossing Canelo in there with this guy if they think he can lose.

He wins easily. Fielding sucks.

Exactly. It will look like the Chavez Jr fight except Fielding will likely get stopped.

Even Eubank Jr would be more interesting.

Canelo will not be fighting any of the good guys at 168. At least no time soon. They’re just dipping their toes in the water in a fight they know he can’t lose.

They are not just dipping their toes. They picked a soft guy with a paper belt, so that they can call Canelo a "3-division champion" while he hasn't even really defeated a real MW champion to say nothing of a real SMW champion.

Massive gap! They look a few weights apart! Canelo will make up for the weight difference with his vastly superior skill set though!

There will barely be any weight difference. 5 pounds maxx. Canelo will come in the ring, close to 185, fielding not much more.
