Brant (middleweight contender) was fighting world champ light heavy awkward southpaw in his home town. It's no shame losing on points. Amateur stars and Japanese fighters tend to be overrated, I think Murata definitely is. This is much closer fight than people think.

Could twist that into Brant, a young unbeaten middleweight, was easily beaten by an inactive 39 year, moving down in weight following a 1 sided loss and injury...

... Out of interest IF Murata wins easily, will you be regarding this as a good win?

It would be easily his best win as a pro.

Murata is not going to have any problems whatsoever. He grinds brant down for a stoppage for me.

I've seen Brant fight a lot. He's always had fast hands, but I've never seen him with such an effective jab.

upset looming here

despite throwing far more brant has more energy then murata. and muratas shots arent hurting brant. murata needs something big . hes getting lit up. early on i thought no way brant could keep this up , but he has, and only 3 rounds left

murata seems exhausted

brant still puting together quick shots. brant has this imo. cant see him losing now barring a big robbery.

going into the last round....brant should be way ahead. murata is exhausted and pushing his shots. it looks like hes fighting in slow motion

Murata was exposed there. He doesn't counter punch so he just holds his hands up. Doesn't move his head either. A fighter that can move and throw combinations seems like his kryptonite. I didn't think Brant had the gas tank or punch resistance to do it.

mustlogin wrote: 19 Oct 2018, 16:39 Brant is a middleweight and the only loss was to a world champion light heavy in his home town. On points. And after the fight champ's face looked like he was run over by a truck. This is 50/50.
brant was awful in that fight and lost every round imo. totally outclassed. it may be a different story at mw, but i really dont find any other redeeming aspect of his performance vs brahmer, whatever the germs face looked like after
Brant lost but every round was close and he landed the more hurtful punches. After the fight Brähmer didn't look at all like the winner, he was cut and bruised and ready to hang them gloves for good...

Murata will have tough time with Brant :box:
well he certanly did have a tough time with brant :oo :TU:

Ha! Nearly everyone wrote Brant off. I had a litle faith in him. People gonna praise him? Or say Murata was not good?

Murata vs. GGG at Tokyo Dome down the drain. Arum never wanted this fight for Murata. Maybe he knew.

Both fighters were paid peanuts btw.

Ps. Scorecards were just a little wide.
