Love Toney, but despite his personna outside the ring I wouldn't describe him as aggressive, his style was too slick for that and there were plenty of occasions where he was happy to box his way to decision wins.

Great calls mate. He was such a temperamental fighter wasn' t he? When he was in the mood he could be absolutely spiteful, but other times he seemed content to go through the motions.

Ye so true, would of loved to have seen the "in the mood" James Toney vs Roy Jones in 1994. James Toney vs Samuel Peters 1 was a war too but the 2nd fight at stages it looked like peters could stop him. He was scared of no man and i used to love his rants in interviews with Elie Seckbach

Paul Hodkinson is a Brit that springs to mind for me.
Honeyghan also went from a boxer to an aggressive fighter once he gained a world title, banging out the likes of Hatcher and Bumphus, but coming unstuck against Starling because of that all-out aggression.

Aaron Pryor was very aggressive, especially early in his career. I always imagine him in with Roberto Duran or with Manny Pacquiao, at 140.

He was capable of pressing, at his best he was a counterpuncher. I'd say Armstrong, Micky ward and hatton worth a shout.
