Ryan Doyle vs Jordan Gill
Doyle makes the first defence of his Commonwealth Featherweight title against 21-0 Gill on the Ryder/Sirotkin card this weekend, looking forward to seeing Doyle again, coming off a big win and an explosive performance destroying Bellotti to win the title, I haven't seen much of Gill, doesn't seem a big puncher so I imagine he'll bring something a bit different than the easy to hit Bellotti, he's got a decision win over 2 weight Commonwealth champ Jason Cunningham
Another top fight for this card, should be a good clash of styles

I’ve gone for Doyle aswell.
The type of fighter who will improve becoming champ.
He improved vastly just by getting a decent bit of notice for the Bellotti fight.
I like Doyle. He’s came up the hard way, with a few short notice/Away corner jobs thrown in.

Looking forward to this one, always liked Doyle and Gill has some very nice skills, picks his shots really well at times.
Surprised to see the bookies have Gill favourite at 1/2 and you can get 6/4 Doyle, thought they would edge Doyle having been there and done it so to speak but at best would have thought it's an each of two fight.

Re: Ryan Doyle vs Jordan Gill
Tough one. Obviously I have kept an eye on them as I am very interested in this division. Gill hasn't really been tested and didn't look overly amazing against my guy Carl McDonald but is very sharp and has class. Doyle was had to work for everything hes been given and the win over Bellotti was a real coupe. Honestly cant make up my mind. Gill should win on point but I fancy Doyle to get to him late as well. I'll sit on the fence.
Re: Ryan Doyle vs Jordan Gill
Money for Doyle who’s into 5/4 from 6/4 with many firms. A lad who sparred Gill reckons Doyle might get to him late on as Gill yet to really prove he has the stamina. Intriguing fight I fancy Doyle to grind him down after Gill starts well.
Re: Ryan Doyle vs Jordan Gill
Strange one Doyle was being backed as you say and now the money turned around again in the last couple of hours and Doyle out to 6/4 in a lot of places. It's a tough fight I have just backed this not to go the distance as I just can't back either man with confidence as I can see Gill being a shade too quick early and Doyle coming on strong down the stretch as you suggest.

Cunningham had him bother in that last round in there fight so if doyle is on form the second half of the I think he could get him out there
Re: Ryan Doyle vs Jordan Gill
Boxing News going for Doyle. Previews last few weeks have been a joke though. A few solid domestic fights such as this and they can’t stretch to more than two lines apiece previewing them. Love the mag at the minute but this is only thing that’s lacking.

Re: Ryan Doyle vs Jordan Gill
Gill was superb tonight, looked the boss from the start, began the opener sharp, boxing and moving hitting Doyle with clean combinations then moving out of distance, he hurt Doyle in the 4th and looked like the ref would maybe step in when he had him backed up on the ropes, Doyle had a little success not long after, landed some solid looking jabs but really he was eating shots all fight and was being outboxed by the classier boxer
Beautiful left hook from Gill to hurt Doyle in that 7th round and I the finishing was top drawer, he looked a strong puncher at the end as well, cant argue too much about the ref stopping it, Doyle was wobbled then on the ropes shipping lefts and rights and not throwing back

x2.
I like it, but it's the previews I buy it for and they've fallen away a lot lately.

Winner then likely to face Gill.
Personally I’d love to see Ryan Walsh get another crack at European level.
