There are a lot of fighters you could talk about in the same way.
I agree to some extent but people are only making fun because he's such a tool.

It's not the same because the people Patel is beating are barely even boxers. He could legitimately pick posters from this forum at random to fight and accidentally get a real opponent.

He has made his own bed in that respect.
I wonder if he really is such a tool or whether it is deliberate to get publicity?
I reckon only Charlie Z beats him in terms of the talent to being well known ratio!

I book him a fool

Conor McGregor has used his mouth and made a fortune, Tyson the same, along with many before them

Prince Patel is full of it but has made no real fortune, fought basically nobody, and makes no major headlines anywhere, a bit like a drunk man piping up in the local

DelRoy Leslie did a similar thing, was inactive for a year then went out to one of those southern U.S states as a 6-2 fighter returned 6 months later 20-2 and soon got a British title shot.

12 of the the fighters he fought had totalled 1 win between the lot of them. The other 2 wins were against the infamous reggie Strickland.

So Prince Patel is number 5 in the world with the WBO and number 13 with the IBF.

Based on who he’s fought and beat how on Earth is it possible for him to get those rankings?!?

Do the WBO really think he’s the 5th most worthy title challenger to their champ Tete?!

It’s one of my biggest gripes about the sanctioning bodies. Surely it’s not too difficult to rank eligible fighters properly?!

It makes me wonder what Patel's end game is. Does he think he could beat the genuine world champions? He seems content in fighting poor opposition each fight and has no intention of testing himself.

ppl diss the intercontintental type belts but they really do help you get a rating. its why the ratings often look so bad in the first place.

beating a crap opponent for some trinket often goes further in rankings then beating a good opponent for nothing, even though the lattter deserves far more respect

How much would he get though as a voluntary? It’s not as though he’s a ticket seller or even too well known outside of hardcore boxing fans.

I’d be surprised if he got more than £30-£40k. Good money but not life-changing.

Sad but true. Essentially these titles are bribes from the promoter to the sanctioning body to get a ranking, nothing more.
