The second edition of the tournament sees the spotlight turn to the light heavyweight division, with eight highly rated British boxers squaring off to achieve their career changing or defining moment.
----------------------
Entrants include Joel McIntyre, who will enter the tournament with an expected English title. The controversial John McCallum; 7-time national champion at amateur level with only one loss on his pro-record coming through injury.

The unbeaten 6’6” Shakan Pitters represents Birmingham and Dec Spelman returns to his biggest stage yet following his tragic fight with the late Scott Westgarth.

Other members of the final 8 consist of title challengers Jordan Joseph and Darrel Church who opted to come into the competition instead of their anticipated bout against each other. Sam Horsfall, who many would see as the wildcard, after turning professional earlier this year and quickly gaining two victories.

Fighters will compete in a three, three-minute round format all competing for their share of the £50k prize money and the second golden robe.

Love Island’s own Idris Virgo makes his return to the ring following his search for love on the reality TV show this summer. Virgo holds a perfect 2-0 record, with the Birmingham man fighting in the capital for the first time.
----------------------
Founded on a desire to make the professional game more accessible for boxers and fans alike Ultimate Boxxer II will be shown on multiple platforms for all generations. Live coverage of Ultimate Boxxer II begins on Facebook with UNILAD from 8.15PM, before going live on Freeview with channel 5Spike from 10PM.

Boxing legends Paulie Malignaggi, Ricky Hatton and Anthony Crolla will play their part in a start studded team that also included Chris Eubank Snr last time out.

Alongside the boxing action, Ultimate Boxxer is defined by youth culture and entertainment. Britain’s biggest DJ Charlie Sloth returns to entertain the London crowd alongside many special guests

The eight pro light-heavyweights looking to make a major impact in the sport are:

Joel McIntyre (17-2)
John McCallum (11-1)
Shakan Pitters (6-0)
Dec Spelman (12-1)
Jordan Joseph (7-2-1)
Darrel Church (7-2-1)
Sam Horsfall (2-0)
Sam Smith (5-1)

ULTIMATE BOXXER II will take place at Indigo at The O2 on Friday 2nd November 2018. Go to https://www.ultimateboxxer.com/ for further information.

Tickets go on Friday 31st August at 9am.

If John McCallum turns up i would be shocked. After quitting vs McKenzie he has pulled out of every fight not vs a journeyman.

Hopefully we see Big Narstie involved a bit more.
I’m hoping mc, pundit, celeb ref etc.

Good line up this. You’d guess McIntyre and Spelman will be favourites.

I’m edging for McIntyre.

Love Island’s Idris Virgo added to Ultimate Boxxer II event on Nov 2

Image

One of Boxing’s most talked about new promotions returns for the first time in the capital this November and Ultimate Boxxer announce today that star of ITV’s Love Island, Idris Virgo will make his return to the ring on the undercard, following his search for love on the show this summer.

Virgo holds a perfect 2-0 professional record (with these wins taking place at Villa Park in his hometown of Birmingham) and after a crazy whirlwind summer on Love Island, his attention has turned back to his boxing career and he’s looking to make a big statement to the boxing world, explaining:

“In Love Island I was looking for a lass, in the ring I’m looking to knock someone out!”

“It’s been 3 months since my last fight, which took place just before my time on Love Island. I can’t wait to get back into the ring and show my new fans what I’m really about.”

“I wanna thank Ultimate Boxxer for this opportunity; it really feels like the next chapter in my boxing career. Over the next few years I’m looking to take over and become world champion – so get ready for a rollercoaster ride!”

Founded on a desire to make the professional game more accessible for boxers and fans alike, Ultimate Boxxer II will be aired live on Freeview with Channel 5 Spike from 10pm and on Facebook with UNILAD from 8.45pm. Expect some very special guests and live music from BBC Radio 1 Xtra’s Charlie Sloth. Boxing legends Paulie Malignaggi, Ricky Hatton and Anthony Crolla will play their part in a star studded team that also included Chris Eubank Snr last time out.

On the Idris Virgo announcement, Ultimate Boxxer’s Ben Shalom comments:

“We’re really excited about having Idris on the big show in London, in his first return since Love Island. He is serious about what he can achieve in the sport and we are looking forward to helping him on his journey”

Think I'll get a few beers and tune in later when the kids are settled. It's good having some boxing to watch on a Fri night.

Aye 10pm on Spike mate. I have my boys football on a Friday night so by time I get kids in and fed, showered etc I'll watch on Spike.

Didn't see this on the schedule. Take it these bouts don't go on the fighters official records?
