No video of Robbie Turley but here you go bad news unfortunately after an hour he was still 8oz over the limit and therefore only Ashley Lane can keep the belt

Tbh I have heard rumours about his training so not really a shock. Maybe just wanted to believe he was training hard or hardly training

Been watching this card waiting for Lane/Turley, never knew it got scrapped until the show finished

Fred Evans getting blitzed from Ryan Tom was a shocker, the stoppage in the Selby fight was as bad as you'll see anywhere, terrible reffing

How did Selby look? There's something not quite right with him when I watch him. Like he's a bad ko waiting to happen, as skilled as he is.

He looked sharp to be fair, played with Yahaya but as I said the stoppage was horrendous

What's going on with Evans, Toms is a good fighter but shouldn't be smashing up Olympic silver medalists

He got battered from pillar to post mate, hurt in the 1st then devoured in the 2nd, Tom showed great finishing instincts to not allow him off the hook

evans is clearly going to be one of the cases cited for top ams who couldnt make the switch

will actually prob be a rather extreme case too. a guy like tom stalker even has far outachieved evans as a pro

isnt evans in trouble regularly?

I’ve only just caught up with the Evans fight, he was awful. So open to the left hand and didn’t make any adjustments at all.

I’m pretty sure Turley failed a drugs test, that’s why he relinquished the title last year.
Evans was awful. Gets into a lot of trouble outside the ring. Some of his fans were going mental at the loss Saturday. Security pushing them back as they were trying to get to the ring (I think at Toms).

He should be called Fred ‘The Welsh Howard Davis’ Evans.

Excellent show. I reckon the Gwynne v Miles eliminator was probably better than the original bill topper.

Andrew Selby looked every inch of the world class prospect he is. The Welsh title fight Dixon won was a treat and a shock with the unheralded, but good pro Ryan Tomms, turning over Fred Evans.

S4C should look to put another one these shows on soon.

The Sanigar Events show at Merthyr Tydfil Leisure Centre on Saturday 9, March 2019 will be the next live boxing broadcast on S4C.

Not a lot of detail on the bouts yet, but Tony Dixon is scheduled to make the first defence of the Welsh Area Welter title that he won in Newport.
