Caught up on this card this morning bar Chamberlain vs Watkins.

Thought Cheeseman did well against an awkward Byfield. Decent variety, very good engine. Took a few too many but possibly because Byfield seems to have little to no power.

Gill was the standout on the whole card. Superb performance vs a good fighter in Doyle. We knew he had good speed and skills but last night he showed he was comfortable exchanging on the inside with a decent puncher. Would like to see him in with Ryan Walsh for the British. Good clash of styles.

Ryder took a while to get going, can be frustrating when he just seems to go through the motions and let rounds slip away but as soon as he upped the tempo the class shone through. That opponent was very strange. Caused a few problems boxing orthodox and then randomly switched to southpaw and started getting beat up. Ryder was hardly pushing the pace but he seemed to tire of his own accord anyway for some reason.

Ryder wasn't impressive up until the KO. He was behind and not looking very good but he dug in and found a way to win! You could see how much it meant to him and his people when he won! Finding a way to win when you're behind is a skill!
