Scans and hospital appointments were sent. Joyce is just trying to build his name making out he's scared of him. Ronnie will fight 19.0 zelfa barrett who's knocking everyone out in London but won't fight Joyce in Scotland....no problem. Ronnie has no form of social media and his only time he sees a thing is his page when he is with a moderator for it. We are gutted the fight fell threw as we feel Joyce was made for Ronnie. People need to remember Ronnie could have turned it down initially if he didn't want it. He told them at start of July he was injured. I have read all the emails and seen the evidence was sent.

Yeah he's just had a kid and the money really could have came in handy also. We understand though cause he hard for Joyce he's not spring chicken and has not much to offer people so can't imagine people wanting to fivht him so he's trying to build beef so Ronnie goes right let's fight. Ronnie will fight Bowen next though as he's earned his shot and just came up short last time.

Ronnie is the better fighter, sam bowen has more holes in his defence than spongebob, and is slow as hell. However Clarke doesn't take punishment to the body well, so im guessing bowen probably stops him, whilst looking technically inept like his last outing against cabral, who made him miss often.

If Bowen is so slow with such a leaky defence and Clark is the better fighter, you would have thought it would be an easy night for the Scotsman!

Well my point was simply this, Ronnie looks weak to the body, and bowen will. Land there and take him out at some point. Fact is bowen has a leaky defence as evidenced by the fact he was made to look amateurish in. His last fight before he hit the lottery with a punch that technically sound fighters don't throw. You can't tell me cabral is a speed demon, or has any power, if he did bowen would have got iced. Cabral best win. Was logan, who was. Plagued with everything from a dui case, to shaving off 20 lbs in 9 days and having to make the weight on the day of the fight (Toronto commission). Plus he was going nowhere. , bowen has a leaky defence and is slow, one paced and fights only one way, , these aren't really opinions to anyone with a pair of eyes. Sometimes the 'better fighter' doesn't win, that was my point.

If Bowen is this bad and Clark still loses, the Scotsman is a complete tomato can.
Is Clark better or worse than Cabral?

I think cabral technically is better than Clarke, but came in on under a weeks notice, and he's got a small frame so bowen could apply his size on him, which is what ultimately won the fight. He won't be able to do that to Clarke, so the intangibles are different. I'm guessing you saw the bowen cabral fight, so you saw cabral talking to the crowd and slipping and sliding away from bowen, and when required to do so take a full Shot to the head from. Bowen which didn't even make him blink (although he's been down in several fights). That to me says bowen has a flattering ko ratio, consisting of mainly smaller weaker journeymanesque fighters. Maxi hughes gave him trouble early at maxi is small and English levelm. Imo Bowen is a poor version of Dale Miles, and there's a lot of guys in the division that I'd make favourite over him and I'm Talking british guys. I Stand by what I say Clarke is a better fighter than bowen, but will get taken out to the body. That's my unbiased view.

For me I rate Bowenmich more than you do.
Obv his tests are to come, beating up Maxi Hughes doesn't propel him into world class, but he has looked good so far and I would fancy him to eat the best in the British division.
Saying that it's not that great at the mo!

Beating maxi. Hughes propels. U to. British class, so he's got a while to go for world.

For me Bowen is technically poor and slow and his defence needs a lot of work. I just don't see world class when I look at him. He is big and conditioned and punches well to the body, but that doesn't take u to the to

For me Il have ward, tennyson, Carroll, dilmaghani, Barrett, Sharpe, cacacce, all. Beating him. To be fair I think yusaf safa beats him too.

Bowen. Vs Woodstock would be a 60/40 for me, that's the level I see bowen at.

Obviously. The best 130lbs on paper should still Be swifty Smith.

Can I ask you why you think Ronnie is weak to the body?

Every one can be hurt to the body and Ronnie is no different but he's no more susceptible that any other fighter.

Also all they guys you mentioned we would put Ronnie in with tomorrow. They all lack one key ingredient that ronnie has loads of.

As the saying goes when the going gets tough...

Firstly I respect Ronnie Clarke and respect you for having his back, there are two many haters of fighters out there, and arm chair fight fans with opinions that are borderline ridiculous. I also don't doubt Ronnie would fight all of those names, fighters generally aren't afraid to fight, but business wise and record protection due to the lack of understanding of the casual fan (the type to watch one or two fights a year, not boxrec forum people) who unfortunately makes up. 90 percent of boxing revenue, means fighters have to think about risk n reward. Unfortunately boxing isn't lucky enough to have the mma marketing and or fan Knowledge.

That being said...... I'm fully aware every fighter can be hurt to the body, however Ronnie may look cut up, but, and no disrespect here, I'm aware he's partial to a drop. Of alcohol here and there, and when you reach the age of 33 it doesn't matter how hard u train, if u live badly for any period of time outside of training camp, it will show. Against Barrett who I regard as a decent puncher nothing more, he was hurt to the body, but seemed to take the bigger shots to the head well. Time will tell, but I think bowen beats him. To. The body, although like I said I think Ronnie is the better fighter, styles wise I wouldn't like the fight for ronnie.

As for the aforementioned names I said I would make them all favourite over bowen, some of them ronnie has lost to, beaten, and imo would lose too.

He was never hurt against Zelfa Barrett. Only time Ronnie has ever been “hurt” in his career was due to fatigue. People think because he’s 33 he is weakening. He has not had the same punishing career as some of the others. The fact you say Swifty Smith is the best in the division tells a lot. Smith has been well looked after and is a small Super Feather against these bigger guys he would get taken out.

I think your also being very harsh on Bowen. Boy had a terrific Amateur career and has done everything asked of him in the pro game. One thing I do agree is this fight will be won to the body. To throw punches to the body it leaves you open. Both fighters can bang so this makes a very interesting fight. I think the only fighter out the list you have mentioned that may beat Bowen is Zelfa Barrett. Question is does his team have the minerals. He was beaten badly by Ronnie but styles make fights.

Well I guess someone else was talking. In. The post fight interview when Ronnie said barrett buzzed him to the body, you could see him. Sink a few times too, you don't have to get dropped to get hurt. I stand corrected regarding rumours of. Ronnie's living, I mean I guess it comes from being Scottish with the drink (BTW I. Love Scotland!)

I'm regard to the age thing. It. Means nothing, vargas and broner etc peaked early hopkins and Moore late. Boxing age is. Different and I'm aware of that. However Ronnie has been in a few tough fights so when u add that in, that's the point I was making. There's no. Way in hell swifty should be undercooked like that. He's fought sosa for one, sosa would blow. Bowen out the. Water. Size matters when. Intangibles are close, you rating bowen the way u do says a thing or two, possibly thinking you are u team bowen? If we're talking amateur pedigree then Sharpe blows. Him. Out the water. Regardless, of amateur pedigree, youve got guys like Tennyson and Carroll who. Have fought and beaten A higher levell, than bowen, ward and dilmaghani who are Leagues above him in skill, defence etc, and caccee who I would bet my life on would ice him because of styles. Barrett is the only one. I'm not sure about, because let's face it prior to. Clarke he beat one. Person with a winning record, and it's. Not like he was fighting Mexicans with those records either. Youd make him favourite over swift Smith too? Really?!

Bowen is basic as hell, and if Clarke doesn't expose those glaring technical deficiencies, it won't be long until someone does.

He didn’t say he was buzzed he said he was strong and hit hard.. What Ronnie says is he hit Zelfa with everything and he was tough. You are believing in the Hype that’s about boxing.. Tennyson is a good fighter but let’s be real he lost badly to Ryan Walsh and if I’m honest I think Ward got a bit greedy against him and was why he got stopped.. Tennyson is still young can come good but is more British level at this time.. Jono Carroll is would get beat by the top 6 uk fighters and relatively easily.

I think when your looking at big wins in the Amateurs the Bowen has some huge wins.. Sharpe May have a better pedigree but never really beat any big names. Sharpe is accident waiting to happen. Cacacae has only beat Ronnie and that was the worst Ronnie performance. He says it he should not of been fighting. Going into the last 2 judges had Cacacae 1 up and 1 all square. Ronnie tried to take him out and got caught. He will never be that underprepared ever again..

Smith is very very over rated. I would love that fight for Ronnie. Have said it for years far easier fight than Sam Bowen in my eyes. As for Bowen yes he may be limited and his defence looks leaky . Claims are he has never been hurt Amateur or pro so we will find out soon enough. Ronnie will expose him so we will see how good he is..

There is a bigger picture here fighters like Bowen.. Barrett.. Sharpe.. Ward... Tennyson and Cacacae should be nowhere near Super Feather.. They all drain far too much weight then fire it back on after weigh in.. These are lads asking about around 11 stone plus getting down to 9 stone 4lbs. Bowen fought at Super Lightweight in the Amateurs.. In my eyes this kind of weight loss then gain is just as bad as the drug cheats out there. Fighters should fight at their natural weight. Would be less mismatch’s

Zelfa wasn’t beaten badly by Ronnie.
It was a close fight that could of gone either way.

Admittedly I didn't watch the fight .....

However, looking at Ronnie's record my perception is that if it could have gone either way then it would have surely gone Barretts way.
