No doubt, it would have been a bloody massacre, they both would have stood in front of each other and traded bombs. Two murderously hitting fighters with hard chins. It would have been Foreman-Lyle like slugfest, but maybe without that amount of knockdowns and without a stoppage. It would have been a unanimous decision draw.

Because of how styles make fights, throw Frazier into this in round robin, and it goes on infinitum.

Frazier was more advanced, than those two. I'd pick him against them both, until they go at him together though.

The Rock would be to much for Dempsey and stops him in 6.

Nah, I'd have favoured Marciano to have him.

I give Rocky only a KO chance in this matchup. Frazier's chin was decent, but not special to take Marciano's murderous punch. Rocky had the better chin among them two, so he could have taken everything, until he had his chance to land a decisive shot. Yet I don't see him as a winner, if he fails to do it.

You see I look at the fact that Frazier often fought in 10 rounders as a telling factor. Marciano more often fought in 15 rounders... And I do think that says something.

Still both of them ended their fights early, almost never late.

Agreed. They could both bang like the best of them, but this could prove to be a war of attrition. And I wouldn't back against Marciano.

Marciano only went 15 rounds in a fight once in his career. Same as Dempsey. Frazier did it twice.

My gawd. . . . The question is about Marciano vs Dempsey and no where do I see Frazier's name mentioned!. . . .Why not talk about Queen Elizabeth and Captain Kangaroo as well?

To me the pinnacle of fantasy fights is Rocky Marciano taking on Jack Dempsey. . . . The outcome would be who could avoid death the longest.. . . .If both men are in heaven I would pay any amount to see this fight when I arrive (hopefully)

This would be the greatest fight of all time--- but I believe that Marciano was the superior conditioned athlete, and his phenomenal work rate would turn the tide in his favor in the later rounds. It'd be a very close fight--- Dempsey could box a bit, which would keep him in the fight, but Dempsey did lose steam in the middle rounds so Marciano would take over after rounds 4-5, and Dempsey coming back in rounds 9-10 with both men splitting rounds until the 15th.
