This isnt a terrible match.... Monroe can handle himself. But we all know charlo will win. It is like a 90 percent probability.

CHARLOS MISSED THEIR NOVEMBER DOPING TESTS
The WBC's Clean Boxing Program reported that the both Charlo brothers missed their drug tests on November 1st and have yet to submit to testing.
The testing program is run by VADA, the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association. Jermell Charlo is the WBC 154-pound champion, while twin brother Jermall is the WBC interim title holder at 160 pounds.
Of the 36 VADA tests ordered during November, only five boxers missed the tests. The other three boxers missing tests were Fabian Maidana, Patrick Teixera and Juan Jose Velasco.
The WBC report stated that missed tests are not adverse findings or positive tests. However, missed tests do such generate fines and potential penalties which could include suspension from WBC activity. All boxers are responsible for advising VADA of their housing and training locations at all times.

Fight in Jeooardy
Willie Monroe's title shot versus WBC interim middleweight titleholder, Jermall Charlo, is in jeopardy as multiple sources have told ESPN.com that Monroe has tested positive for testosterone.
This fight is scheduled to take place next Saturday night at the Barclay Center in Brooklyn, New York. Monroe (23-3, 6 KOs) is enrolled in the WBC Clean Boxing Program which is administered under the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association. There is still no word on if Charlo (27-0, 21 KOs) will face someone else next week.
VADA sent a letter (via email), dated on December 15, informing Monroe of an 'adverse analytical finding' on a urine sample that was collected on November.
ESPN.com has contacted the WBC and the Premier Boxing Champions but have received no comment, as of this moment.

Re: Jermall Charlo vs. Willie Monroe Jr. - December 22, 2018
WBC: Monroe can’t fight Charlo on Saturday
WBC Statement: A sample collected from Willie Monroe Jr., pursuant to the WBC Clean Boxing Program yielded an adverse finding for a banned substance. The WBC feels compelled to provide a preliminary report of the situation in light of the timing of Mr. Monroe’s upcoming bout for the WBC Interim World Title scheduled for December the 22nd.
The WBC’s will afford Mr. Monroe the due process to which he is entitled under the WBC CBP’s Protocol. While the WBC follows its Protocol’s procedures, Mr. Monroe’s situation cannot not be fully and justly adjudicated on a timely fashion for him to fight for the WBC title. The WBC CBP’s ultimate goal is to protect the health, safety and welfare of boxers. Accordingly, the WBC must fully investigate the specific facts surrounding Mr. Monroe’s reported adverse finding before fully adjudicating the matter.
At this point, the facts known to the WBC indicate that a sample collected from Mr. Monroe yielded an adverse finding for a banned steroidal substance. It also appears that Mr. Monroe disclosed to the sample collector his use of a non-specific “testosterone booster” in his Doping Control Form. Mr. Monroe did not request, nor he received, a Therapeutic Use Exception for any substance.
The WBC CBP provides program participants with multiple educational tools, including a detailed and required webinar which explains important facts about PEDs, banned procedures and other important factors. It is the participants’ obligation to be informed of what the WBC CBP requires of him and adhere to it accordingly.
As always, the WBC will conduct its investigation in the most impartial and supportive manner, and will report a final ruling once it completes the process the WBC CBP mandates.

This is last chance for Korobov to do something meaningful in professional boxing. His chances are below 20:80 IMO.

Not to mention his last 4 fights were all either scheduled 6 or 8 round fights. He hasn't been fighting any stellar competition lately. Add in the weight drop and I see one very under prepared challenger
Re: Jermall Charlo vs. Willie Monroe Jr. - December 22, 2018 *Fight off*
The only question is how annoying "Thuggery" Charlo will be in the post fight interview.

I was mistaken. Koborov only had 2 pounds to lose. His undercard fight vs. DeAngel was at a catchweight of 162 pounds. Shouldn’t be much of an issue. But his world title shot had kinda just come outta the blue hasnt it?

Out of the blue is putting it lightly. He has no business getting a title shotRuthless-RKO wrote: ↑18 Dec 2018, 17:36 I was mistaken. Koborov only had 2 pounds to lose. He's 35; hasn't fought in 9 months. So taking this on short notice spells disaster.tiny_acres wrote: ↑18 Dec 2018, 17:50Out of the blue is putting it lightly. his last fight. He looks way out of shape comparing to even Vera fight. You can see it in his movement and you can see it at his body.

All things considered, I agree with you.
Re: Jermall Charlo vs. Willie Monroe Jr. - December 22, 2018 *Fight off*
i think monoroe is the better fighter now, but matt more likely make for a highlight reel ktfo
Re: Jermall Charlo vs. Willie Monroe Jr. - December 22, 2018 *Fight off*
Thank god. I don’t have any interest in seeing Willy’s boring style get beat again and weakly KO’d.

3 years ago Charlo isn’t getting in the ring with Korobov. That was then. This is now. They’re not putting Jermall in there with a guy they think he can lose to right now. Big fights lie ahead for him. At one time Korobov was a really good fighter. Very skilled. But the guy who has turned up lately doesn’t look like the guy who beat Uzquetagi and was outboxing Lee badly before being caught. Still solid but not what he was. Even if MK can bottle his best he’s not knocking out Charlo and Haymon will make sure he doesn’t win a decision. So this is nothing but a cash out for Korobov. The fact he never stepped up again after Lee tells you all you need to know.

He was willing to step up, but Arum couldn't or didn't want to arrange that.diddy wrote: ↑19 Dec 2018, 03:59 3 years ago Charlo isn’t getting in the ring with Korobov. That was then. This is now. Great points. The Charlo's need to shut TFU and fight some competition. I'm so sick of them both. They are nothing more than a brand at this juncture. Austin Trout took them both to the limit FFS.diddy wrote: ↑19 Dec 2018, 03:59 3 years ago Charlo isn’t getting in the ring with Korobov. That was then. This is now. I had read that Korobov had been an excellent amatuer.
