What is the story with Spud?

Can somebody fill me in on this please? Seems to be a lot of hate in here for him. Are Spud and Pepsi one and the same?

Spud's sound as a pound, if you know how to take him. I don't know if pepsi is Spud

He's extremely passionate about boxing (especially Fight Academy who he has allegiances to) he can get irate abit too easily at times, which doesn't go along way to making forum friends. He's not a fan and never has been of allegedly or Sports Network, which is why BoxingChat keeps piping up.

BoxingChat and Spud are SN's and FA's equivalents. I reckon we should arrange 4 2 minute rounds for them on the Calzaghe-Woods undercard (if it happens)

When the internet boxing forum war was on (how sad) between Doghouse and BoxRec, Spud was singled out for abuse (probably quite rightly

) from the boxrec boys, which also explains the lack of love for him on here

Spuds great to have on a forum though, he always manages to keep things lively.

he was a mod at ESB and BANNED several members of THIS FORUM, while he was on a power trip like a fat f*ck.

Then he went to ESB and ran to the mod GLAXOR (a good mate) time and time again wanting people to be removed. Eventually everybody reached a consensus that spud should be banned from the board and he was.

He was Hattons biggest detractor when he was Hennessies teaboy but when he got fired (this is a FACT) he went to FA and now loves Hatton. He once said if he could be any prospect IN THE WORLDS manager he would choose CARL FROCH

Then he got fired from hennessies stable and I'm sure he's changed his tune.

He's a joke and we should get behind OUR OWN (b-chat) instead of this fat belly bastard

With regards to being fired from any promotional company you really do need to get your facts right ... how can someone be fired if they have never been employed by a promotional company in the first place???
But the Hennessy Sports quote really does make me laugh ... yet another falsehood stated by yourself!!! ... but hey if you want to believe that then so beit.

With regards to these Boxing Forums lets get the FACTS right here and now ....

BritishBoxing.com as it was known 6 years ago ... closed down due to being brought out by secondsout.com

Secondsout.com forums were closed down as it was too much hassle dealing with at the time the wide and varied legal issues ... FACT

We then decided to move to East Side Boxing ... myself and Lightsoot were the moderators on the British Forum ... but at the time the board kept coming on and off and we decided to say B*llocks and we then moved to doghouseboxing.com .... now this is where it is amusing, once ESB realised what we had done and also realised how many people came across to Doghouse they then decided to ban us ... funny that seen as we had left already!!!

Doghouse boxing ... much the same scenario as ESB!!! when we decided to go to boxingtalk.com

So please get your FACTS right!!!

With regards to being one of Ricky Hattons biggest critics ... yep ... you are right!!! but please take a few seconds to think why that was the case ... to be perfectly honest Ricky himself often teases me about that situation!!!

With Regards your Carl Froch quote ... yep you are completely right on that point ... and I still really hope Carl Froch makes it to world level and subsequently proves a lot of people wrong ... I have to admit recent performances do not give me a lot of evidence to back his case but nonetheless Carl Froch and all of Hennessy Sports fighters are fantastic people who I really would love to see do well for themselves!!!

I do hope the answers above satisfy your curiosity ... as it seems you have come out with a lot of FACTS but you are relying on a lot of what people do in boxing and that is hearsay!!!

Good or bad thanks again to Boxrec for making "Spud" one of the most talked about people in boxing ... I get more publicity than most boxers!!!

I remeber Tyson asking if Julius Francis was helping out the mentally ill guy in Manchester. Tyson thought he had a Brain tumour until it was explained tthat that WAS actually his normal head. He pissed himself laughing.

Love watching him doing 'security' whilst taking cash off people in the fire exits.

He denies it but it's true 100%.

spud is spud, love him or hate him.....and believe me ive done both !!

but he is a sensitive soul, bless him, but he is very passionate about the sport we ALL love. regardless of his promotional bias, spud is spud...period.

i thought the inter forum rivalry had stopped and we had moved on, rich coming from me i know cos i instigated a lot of the trouble between DHB and boxingtalk, but we have all taken reality checks now and decided to get on with life.

by all means ruck with each other, but dont get personal about things. we all know the reasons why individuals have been slated in the past. but lets move onto the present and the future.....

Think they have, Spud made a few post - got a boxing related response, he gave a reply.

Then someone asked who he was..... Johnswan obviously doesn't know about the past being a relatively newish poster.

If its starts getting back to the "my" forum is better than yours, then I'm sure the threads will get locked - but thus far its been quite fascinating... Petty, but fascinating.

I don't know much about this Spud fella other than what has been written on these boards and most of that is nonsense, writing FACT next to something means very little. But whenever i have seen Pepsi posting it has usually been Boxing related with no real ill will so what's the problem with him?

My pro career if you can call it that was a damp squib really although I always fought with venom but too often in pubs like a young mug who thought he knew it all. I enjoyed my amatuer career though and was at my best in the amatuers.
