Take your pick I guess. I was impressed with the Cleveland Williams fight as he was downright vicious in that one. No mucking around just got the job done and brutally.

Do you mean the best overall competitive, interesting fight or his individual best performance?

Best 2 way action is 3rd frazier fight

Best performance was cleveland williams

Most shocking win is foreman fight or 1st Liston

Can't argue with this post! Nicely done. Although I enjoyed Ali/Norton III.

Norton III was an interesting view of post prime Ali making adjustments, especially being outjabbed by Norton. Not the best of Ali but an enjoyable fight to say the least. Watch it three times and you'll score it differently each time. Best of Ali was probably against a blown Cleveland Williams. Biggest Heart of Ali was Frazier III.

Thrilla In Manilla most exciting for sure.

I loved his performance against Oscar Bonavena. 2nd fight back from his lay off and he showed he still got it. 100%. To me that was prime Ali in that fight. So fast! Granted Bonavena's punches could be seen from a mile away but I think that was just Ali making him frustrated with how ridiclously fast he was working

I think the performance in spinks 2 is underrated, certainly more impressive to me than Williams.

I agree with some of the above that Ali-Frazier 3 is the best fight.

As for best Ali. That’s tough.

It's easy to forget just how good, no not just good, great, Ali was before getting stripped. Perhaps boxing has seen nothing seen better before or since.

As for the third Frazier fight, well that might be the greatest fight this sport has seen. A more punishing brutal display of courage from two boxing legends in the harshest conditions possible (and with everything on the line) is difficult to name.

That fight taxed everything, even the resolve of those who were just watching. No one knew what to expect, but they didn't expect that!

The 'Thrilla In Manila' is probably the greatest heavyweight title fight I've ever seen.
As others have mentioned, Ali was amazing against Cleveland Williams.
It's a real shame he was banned from boxing during 1968-1969 -they would have been his best years.
In the twilight of his career he still had enough in the tank to give young Leon Spinks a boxing lesson in their second fight.

In terms of being interesting to watch - Frazier I for me.

In terms of the performance - Williams.

In terms of Legacy - Frazier III and Forman a bit after for me.

I think that his performance against Zora Folley was a good one.

Most say Cleveland Williams, but considering all of his health issues and not being the same guy he was years prior, I don't want to give that fight too much attention.

Might be an unpopular choice, but Ali's three round shellacking of Brian London who went 7-3-0 in his previous ten bouts, was pretty damn one-sided. He had just went 15 with Cooper two years prior and went 10 with Thad Spencer earlier in 1966.

In my opinion quite impressive considering in 1963 London went the full twelve rounds against Ingemar Johansson, and had fought for the title before against Floyd Patterson.
