Back of the head. Did ref not see that. He was gonna lose regardless but come on. Let the guy ‘try to’ fight.

He had no complaints though.

Top performance here from Taylor.

Baranchyk next??

It was very one sided and Taylor would have won regardless, however, I didn’t like that stoppage.

He turned away
He got hit on the back of the head. I’m not saying he was gonna win or anything, cos he was awful, but the ref jumped in and stopped it immediately at the first opportunity.

Good stoppage. Martin just doesnt want to be there after first few rounds and we did not need another Abdusalamov. Taylor - Baranchyk will be interesting. Anyways, good luck to Ryan Martin in his boxing career in future, but he is not world level.

To be fair he wanted out, he was getting battered, ref did him a solid.
Yeah, he had nothing working, and all the time Taylor was giving him a sound beating.
Ref was spot on.

Sanchez was gonna pull him out, saved his boy getting panneled anyway. Very poor opponent.
Congrats to Josh.

Yep. For me Baranchyk is #3 of the tournament and a potential banana skin for Taylor.
Martin was crap. Not quite Prince Charles Martin, but not far off it.

I know it was one sided but fvck me that was a bit hasty from Vic there, hope it doesn't take the shine off the masterclass from Taylor, he had that in the last fight with the Postol scores but TBH i'd rather talk about how fvcking good Taylor is, not really sure what Martin's tactics were, he froze on the big stage maybe but he never let his hands go, Taylor done exactly as he pleased, the body punching was phenomenol , Martin took them well to be fair but no doubt they were hurtful from both hands, he started to bring it up to the head as the rounds wore on, his movement is top drawer, he started quicker than usual tonight as well

The right hand to deck Martin in the 7th looked legit to me, maybe behind the ear? I thought Martin deserved a count, it was heading towards maybe pulling him out he was looking sorry for himself from the 1st round but it was mainly body punching that was breaking his heart

Still Taylor was 1st class again, Martin worried me slightly going in, Taylor hadn't fought many quick boxers since turning pro but Taylor bossed him every second

taylor was brilliant, yea it was a soft stoppage, but martins corner were talking about pulling him out from rd4, martin couldnt deal with josh and took the easy option, but Taylor was fantastic still believe he will be world champion

Regardless of whether it was a good stoppage or not, it was good to hear big Ron McIntosh get the word ‘discombobulate’ into his commentary.

That’s not my point - my point is, it’s a classic ‘British’ stoppage where the ref literally jumps in as soon as he can. If it was the other way around, absolutely no way it would have been stopped without so much as a count.

I’d suggest we knock up a Big Ron bingo card like we had for Jim Watt, but we’d have to make the writing tiny to make it all fit. I bet he’s brilliant at scrabble.
