David Price To Return On Whyte-Chisora Rematch
David Price will be back in the ring before the end of the year.
The 35-year-old heavyweight was last in action back in September.
And it has been confirmed that ‘The Grizzler’, training at the Four Corner Combat Gym in Liverpool will return on the same platform on a card topped by a heavyweight rematch.
Price, it has been revealed by his trainer Joe McNally, will box on December 22 at the O2 Arena in London, as part of the supporting cast to Dillian Whyte’s return showdown against Dereck Chisora.
However, the ex-British and Commonwealth champion will be in action over eight rounds.
Further details regarding the supporting cast of ‘The Brawl To Settle It All’ will be revealed in due course.

Well he wont be fighting a Brit I very much doubt.
Possibly fighting Prince Patel.

Re: David Price To Return On Whyte-Chisora Rematch
price has been one of my faves to follow because of the drama , fun, and big kos either way, but its gotten a bit boring now with the cycle of a few journeymen wins and then a loss at euro level/world level. he had his moments in almost every loss and i once thought maybe hed eventually be able to pull off a win at one of those higher levels, but now going 0-6 its hard to see
ive wanted him for a while to go on a domestic campaign, maybe start with a little or a turner, then a cornish or kash ali or even us-based irish man niall kennedy, and then if he wins test one of the hot prospects like gorman,, but there seems to be no desire for that.

anyone who is still in there after 6 against price automatically becomes a heavy favourite as Price's engine is terrible. Hughie and Allen would both be there after 6 Allen stops him and Price would retire on his stool against Fury. im not knocking Price at all because he gets in there time and time again but the mans got quit in him and that will always shine through when it gets tough. Him and Sexton would be a real 50-50

Personally I would like to see Price in with Allen or Hughie. Fury is well overrated and neither Allen nor Fury punch well enough to make me really fear for Price (at least no more than against every hw!) And I'd be interested to see what happens if Price lands on both of them.
I'm not talking Price up- he's done at any kind of level but I'm still interested to get him in with other 'names' who aren't as good as their fame suggests.

Price already ko’d Sexton a few years ago, I don’t think Sexton has improved enough to change the outcome if they fought again.smiling assassin wrote: ↑02 Nov 2018, 16:00 anyone who is still in there after 6 against price automatically becomes a heavy favourite as Price's engine is terrible. you might well be right but this isn't the same Price who beat him last time. Price was undefeated then and he was being touted as the next best heavyweight in the division. Price is mentally a completely different fighter to what he was. Anyone outcome in this fight would not surprise meBoxerbeetle wrote: ↑02 Nov 2018, 16:51Price already ko’d Sexton a few years ago, I don’t think Sexton has improved enough to change the outcome if they fought again.smiling assassin wrote: ↑02 Nov 2018, 16:00 anyone who is still in there after 6 against price automatically becomes a heavy favourite as Price's engine is terrible. "OK Dave, I've given you your instructions in the dressing room, don't bother to get up, we'll have this over in a jiffy"

It’s nothing personal, but most people like to see a big fella put over timbeerrrrrrrrr
Re: David Price To Return On Whyte-Chisora Rematch
I don't think we need seeing him again on ppv for a while. Let himself down badly in that last fight after a credible performance against povetkin. Fair enough there was an injury but at prices stage of his career you go out swinging.
It looked a bit like he got tired...which then helped make his mind up the injury was a fight ender. No of fence to the big man....but if you want on ppv you should be leaving it all in the ring. Felt a bit like he was saying its easier to give up I,ll probably get back on ppv next time out anyway. We now know when the going gets tough...he,ll take the easy option.
One thing you can't say about whyte. Or chisora. They,ve at least proven their willing to leave it all in the ring.

Hearn is a cùnt! He knows fine well Price can't be promoted as 'one fight away' or 'unlucky' or 'danger man' etc etc... He makes a PPV and he knows Price, 9 times outta 10, makes headlines (usually for the wrong reasons). Hearn can't build his career. All he can offer him is a few quid and at this stage Price is doing Hearn the favour here!
Unless it's Dave Allen then sack this pish! Even that might be too much because I (and most decent fans) like the big dude and don't want to see him hurt!

Bets on it being Tom Little?
Little was complaining about Hearn stealing his opponent on the Pulev - Hughie card...
Probably a safe bet for Price over 8 rounds, Little will give it a go and gets his christmas moneys.
Price, Allen, Gorman, Dubois - Id like to see all those lads fight each other personally. Price might be the weak link but Allen is really not that good and we dont know if the other 2 can take a punch yet...

Will we see another twitter explosion pre-fight when people say he needs to quit. It is all a repeating cycle. Nice guy, really likeable but I fear for his future life post-boxing. I wonder how he, and his friends and family will feel when he is suffering issues from his career.

Not sure what you are on about?
If you feel that strongly about it then why not tell Price himself, his friends, family, trainer, manager, promoter or anyone who buys a ticket to specifically watch him box?

That would be a good fight, the only problem being that they both see themselves above that level.keithmoonhangover wrote: ↑04 Nov 2018, 14:04Perfect fight for Price, I think he would dominate Hughie.![]()
I don’t know who I would pick - Hughie would happily patiently go 12 rounds, and not sure how Price would cope over that distance.

At the kind of pace he would need to fight at against Hughie Fury, Price could do 12 rounds easy.bripez wrote: ↑04 Nov 2018, 14:18That would be a good fight, the only problem being that they both see themselves above that level.keithmoonhangover wrote: ↑04 Nov 2018, 14:04Perfect fight for Price, I think he would dominate Hughie.![]()
