When the fight was first announced, a lot of us, myself included, wondered if Tony would make weight. Going by the photos- I don't see it being a problem.
To be fair to Bellew, I haven't seen him look this good in years.

hes been cw or lhw the vast majorty of his career and was only low 200s vs haye...really sshouldnt have been much worry

Bellew looking really good, as trim as I've seen him since he was an actual cruiser.
He isn't coming in to cash a paycheck.

how would you expect a 200lb Bellew to look? he is after all on saturday an "actual cruiser"
he can't look anything else but trim , he's shed almost 3 stone in training for this, Bellew
at this weight does not look "really good" and will appear skinny as we're now used to seeing
him with his "natural" extra weight, what you see now is un-natural for Bellew.

and as for Hearns saying this is his biggest fight ever, is purely to try and get people to cough up on PPV,

True. Takes a bit of dedication though, he was quite pudgy in the face and all over for the second Haye fight. Looks so much better trim.

The build up show said less than a thousand went to a show of his at The Echo and Goodison looked at least half empty for his fight there.

To be fair, there will be many finding an illegal stream of watching it a few hours later on Youtube. So yeh, the fight has already gotten exposure.

This fight, yeh. He brings the money. But Usyk helps him make the money too because like they're always saying. ALL THE MARBLES. Undisputed Cruiserweight championship on UK soil. 1st time ever.

It wasn't really him that brought the money in the Haye fights. Sure he did a lot of talking and selling and made it believable that he might not get home to his family and all that, but it was Haye who was the mainstream star.

Bellew was also right in saying he could have built up some 'fake british beef' and rolled around on the press conf against Whyte, but TBH, we all know the build up would be fake.

He claims he earned more money in the Haye fights than Usyk did in the WBSS..

I don't think that's true.

Usyk earned £6m on the final alone. would have earned around £1.5m in the semis and around £1m in the 1/4..

Bellew earned around £2.8m in Haye 1 and minimum £2m (not including additional revenue) for the rematch.

Would have earned no more than £6m in both fights IMO. This is all just based on past research and news knowledge.

Obviously to get the £6m final payday, Usyk went through Huck and Briedis and obviously had to beat Gassiev to get the winners pot.

So yeh, Bellew might have taken the easy route in fighting Haye, but whilst he was doing that, Usyk was cementing his legacy at CW, as well as earning a big paycheck.

Usyk entered the WBSS to prove he was the best CW. Other top CW's entered that same tournament, so he knew he was fighting the best. I don't think money does faze him tbh. I think he has the same mentality as Loma. Loma isn't bothered about money, he just wants to box.

Usyk proved he was the best CW and along the way, picked up a big prize money too. So it's a good thing that proving he was the best, he also earned a lot of money.

I think Usyk's English has improved a little and maybe Bellew is right about Usyk not letting on that he can maybe speak bit better English than he does. Lomachenko has learned English quite well, he's in US, it's good to learn English.

If only Canelo learned some. But he's already a mainstream star, mostly due to his Mexican fans.

I don't really think Bellew is a big ticket seller or ppv fighter in his own right. Just like Whyte isn't. But now days, these boxers are demanding they get paid handsomely, and the only way to do that is PPV.

He's a different fighter now,he must have starved himself to make light heavy so that wouldn't fill him with much confidence,still in for a painful night though i'd imagine.
