:lol:
It’s a shame he wasn’t in the habit of repeating the fighters’ surnames like Diamante does.

“Paul! Gwerrrrrrrrr!!

Gwerrrrrrrrr!!””

Buffer came back from having throat cancer, years ago. Definitely brought some class - like Lennon Jr did - to the big events.

Wasn’t aware of all his recent mistakes. I think the worst was “Jim Scott from Wattland.” Obviously a very long time ago,

Buffer is well past it but he still brings the Vegas swagger so when you see him you remember the glory days and don't see the doddery 70+ old man in front of you so much.

Diamante is competent but he's nowhere near as good as buffer once was. It's well overdue being let go but I'll still be sad when it happens.

Creases me every time, that :lol:

McDonald also had a shite habit of letting you know the result before he even announced it, because if the home fighter was getting the decision he'd be excited as fvck but if it was the away fighter he'd read the scores like he's doing a reading at a funeral. Plonker.

I will be forever grateful for the Smith v Dodson fight, though.

He announced Usyk’s cornerman as one of the judges.

How does he get so many things wrong, all he has to do is write it down correctly ffs.

Buffer is 74, I didn't realise he was that old, he's had some work done.

My wife and I have a fun game out of it. He anounces the name, then we both shout at the telly;
"Don't say it again! Don't say it again!"
And when he says it again, we go;
"Awwww!!!" And then you have to drink.
Well, this is usually a few beersies in mind :D

Stephens is very good and sad to not seem him on sky recently. Dimante is good but Buffer definitely past his best. What happened to the Matchroom MC Academy winner?? Have they ever used him?

He would be good, though I don't think stadium sound systems could cope with the bass.

The worst announcer screw-up I remember is when Wladimir was introduced as Vitali Klitschko before Sanders fight. :KO:

Buffer is definitely past his best but promoters hire him because his presence is synonymous with major events.

Helps the promoter create an illusion with the viewing public that they are selling a big fight when sadly in most cases these days this isn't the case.
