So up Bellews a$$.

Comment after the fight not about Usyk, but along the lines of ‘ Bellew would have beaten any other cruiser weight on the planet with that display’

Someone start an "AJ vs Usyk" poll.

Usyk needs to bulk up a little, have a 'test the waters' fight and then why not ?

He won't be favourite, but AJ is wooden and might struggle with the sheer skills of Usyk.
The SIZE is the issue, but what price would Usyk be at the bookies ? AJ 1/9 5/1 OU 85/15 fight for me.

Alexander Krasyuk. Eddie is a co-promoter now or something like that.

Well done TB, anyway. He gave everything and went out on his shield.

Just come out the arena. Surprised reading this. I gave Belles two rounds. Usyk seemed to be in complete control, and the ending inevitable.

Tony's been caught up in a boxing sideshow for a couple of years, but it paid well...
Not really had a career that's interested me - not that fighting injured versions of David Haye helps. I don't much care for fighters who are more damaging with their tongues than they are with their fists and there always seemed to me a lot of 'personal' with Tony B.
Ironically, away from a fight, when interviewed in less heated environment, he came across as a pleasant bloke, which I don't doubt that he is.
I think he did remarkably well, in a tough game, and to get that Creed work as well...that's no mean achievement, imho.

Usyk only made a start in R7 and took him out in R8 with plenty of levels left to move through if required.
I think like anyone else, Matchroom will want Usyk to box Dillian Whyte before Joshua.

No. Usyk held the centre, pumped tge jab and bellew landed nothing clean.

Doing better than expected does not = winning the round.

I struggle to see Usyk causing Joshua much problems on the back of that performance.
thats a big part of usys game though and a very important one. always fnshes wth much more energy then the opponent. just the same as froch

I thought it sounded fair reportage me mate. I thought they gave Bellew his due respect, but they by no means failed to highlight what a class fighter and tough assignment Usyk is.
I maybe switched off before the line you quote, but it was well covered imo.

it seems like most people had usyk coming into control and winning the last 3 or so rounds at least before the stoppage. but the commentary i watched was just so awful, i get some bias, but froch crossed the line into being totally unprofessional, not giving usyk a round till the 7th

this wasnt too different from usyk vs briedis and hunter. he starts slow but then inevtiably takes over. fair play to bellew though, he boxed well but the class told in the end
