David Price v Shannon Briggs 22nd December 2018

Post by MattCoke »

Price v Briggs, 10 rounder, undercard of Whyte Chisora, loser retires surely, also free money for gamblers betting on ‘fight not to go the distance’ market. Briggs should let Price have his way for the first 3/4 rounds then take him out after Price has shot his load, or vice versa, Price let Briggs shoot his load, then take him out. I’m predicting a bad knockout either way.

Briggs is a joke. He hasn't fought for 2 1/2 years and will be 47 by the time they fight (if it happens!). If Price can't beat him then he definitely needs to quit.

I hope I'm wrong, but Briggs in the first is the bet I'll be placing.

Briggs starts fast and the last thing to go is the power. Price should be fighting Hughie Fury, it's the perfect fight for him.

I cannot find this fight anywhere - checking google news links, twitter feeds etc. Is it confirmed or just the OP saying he'd like it?

Briggs wouldn't be able to breathe after 3 or 4 rounds.

Not only has Price struggled with being rushed - even when he was still good ! - but going all out early is a very sensible gameplan for a 47 year old.

Shannon Briggs doesn’t have anything on his instagram so this must be entirely made up; it would be unlike Briggs to keep quiet about any potential bout...

Not happening, but if it did, I'd have to go with David Price. Briggs barely beats journeymen. Price will hurt Briggs.

Ridiculous if true. Shame on any promoter who signs Briggs to fight anymore.

Price would flatten Briggs. Shannon shouldn't get a licence for a bout like this.

I’d watch Briggs-Price.

I have zero idea who wins.

Thinking about this. Hearn should get Briggs on one of DAZN cards in the US.. why not?? He has a huge following.
