We should be relieved its not been made PPV
He's trying to use it to add value to the Whyte/DelBoy PPV though. Just as bad IMO.

I’m predicting a bad knockout either way.
This could lead to an incredibly dull fight where both men are so terrified of gassing themselves and determined to wait for the other to gas - that nothing at all happens for the first 9 rounds.
The 10th will be exciting tho' :box:

Wouldn't amaze me.
Briggs starts fast and the last thing to go is the power. Price should be fighting Hughie Fury, it's the perfect fight for him.
Great shout that!! I can’t imagine that’s a match up that Peter Fury would want to take on right now.

This is a fight i'd love to see to be honest. Its one of those 'curiosity' match ups that people only watch because they know its a oddity and something is bound to happen.

While a good majority of us think Price should have hung up them gloves a long while ago and Briggs is just a laughing stock these days this is actually a fight will almost certainly have a knock out finish, and I doubt we will have to wait much longer than 1 round to see it.

While Price is a banger and Briggs is way over that hill the last thing he is going to lose is his punch power, and I dont think he will need much more than 50% of that power to stop Price. Even though Briggs hasnt fought anyone of anything for well over several years he will in my opinion spark out Price in the first.

This is the wrong fight for David Price, its another pressure fight that Pricey will almost certainly worry over in that weigh in and the ring walk come fight night. The issue here is that Briggs while long past his sell by date has had a decent career with some big wins and this will be on Price's mind as soon as Michael Buffer says 'Man your battle stations'

Surely after around 100 seconds Price once up needs to think about his health and safety. Infact the BBBoC need to step in and inform Price that its over.

He used to carry his power into late rounds (and nothing else), but at what, 47? Not sure what he's thinking he can do in the ring. With this fight I just hope that no one gets hurt.

Briggs wouldn't be able to breathe after 3 or 4 rounds.
People are overreacting, he went to distance winning all 12 rounds 4 years ago against Raphael Zumbano.

I've seen Briggs last 12 rounds but never fight for 12 rounds. His asthma gasses him out in the first three/four rounds typically. He used to be able to carry his power late in a fight (throwing a bomb every 45 seconds or so) but that's about it. He should be retired.

Surely the pace Love set 4 years ago will stand him in good stead for another 12 rounder

That roided up version of Briggs that destroyed that dude in a round on the Haye undercard would probably do similar damage to Price, there's no reason why Price has to go in with someone as dangerous as even this version of Briggs, I like a fight with Hughie for the British

I don't see it. Price putting a hurt on Povetkin tells me that the big man is still worthy of being competitive in the middle tier of the division. Briggs seems to know the best he can do is dig a liver shot in on rank amatuers. If this goes ahead i think Price would hurt Briggs, who has no business in the ring at all at this point.

I agree, I thought he should have called it day after hellacious beating Vitali gave him nearly ten years ago.

What’s the point of this fight?

I suppose, I did quite enjoy the almost pub car park like scrap on Saturday night with Dave Allen.

briggs gets strangely overrated by some i dont just mean about this fight, but like last year even people were talking him up a a good opponent for some b level hws. hes obviously got hardly anything left imo, theres a reason he only fights total crap, he has absolutely no real confidence in himself as a fighter despite the act

price , ya hes lost when hes fought euro level and above, but usually has his moments. hed have a great shot of laying the old guy out, briggs might have even worse stamina too
