The pea brained Adam Smith is genuinely 100% thick.

Paulie is a brilliant colour-commentator - gems like, "in my first big fight I was terrified I'd freeze - I was fighting Miguel Cotto on Puerto Rico day - it was like being in hell with the devil himself!". The only one that doesn't 'toe the party-line' and - I love his accent !
Adam Smith is far from thick too.

What an absolute Clown. Didn't give Usyk a round through 6 & scored 2 of them as tied.

I've seen the Sky team have some shockers but tonight took the biscuit. When that scorecard came on screen i couldn't believe it, and when Haye said "i have it the same" i wondered if it was 1st of April.

Adam Smith reminding everyone that Bellew is called "bomber" because he punches hard & not because he is a Jihadist was the cherry on top.

Sky Boxing Coverage, 0/5.
He really said that ?
Yeah it was something like Tony has bomber tattooed on his back as that’s his nickname and he punches hard nothing to do with what happened here at the A.Grande concert.

There was just no need to say it. I’d wager my house that nobody was liking his tattoo to a terroist attack.
Yeh it was totally bizarre to say that. I was puzzled. I think it was kinda an extension of Political Correctness gone mad, like, "ooh he has 'Bomber' wrote on his back, we must apologise to the sensitive libtards in case it offends anyone". Except everyone who watches boxing knows that's his nickname and who in their right mind would ever link a tattoo on a boxer's back to terrorism? It's just fu*ked up.

Carl doesn’t really follow boxing.

He’s going to get found out in these us shows. There’s some divisions where he will know ZERO champions.

I’d wager good money he doesn’t know who Dogboe or Berchelt are.

My missus laughs every time they apologise for swearing between rounds. She’s like we’re watching people punch each other in the head, why would swear words offend us of violence in the noblest form doesn’t?

I’d assumed it was an editorial decision taken pre-fight as Smith mentioned it at the earliest opportunity.

It was utterly imbecilic - I cannot believe there is a single human being alive that would conflate a “Bomber” tattoo on A boxer known for that nickname with support for terrorism.

Whoever made that decision at Sky was pretty stupid.

It would have been Smith, he is the boss. If he wasnt the boss surely he would have been sacked years ago.

I try my best to zone them out now too.

I watched the fight with my Bro in law. He admitted after the fight he hadn't actually seen Usyk fight before. He's not a hardcore fan, he think's Bellew made around £20m against Usyk..

Anyway, watching with him, he was getting annoying. After 2 or 3 rounds, he said, "Bellew's schooling him."

I told him to wait a few more rounds for Usyk to warm up.

Thing is, the Sky commentary and noise levels in the arena as Bellew landed a punch or even threw a punch, it was making my bro in law believe Bellew was smashin it. I even said to him at one point, shall we mute it.

He didn’t even know who Spence was during the Brook fight - he kept calling him Spencer. Just shows how fvcking amateurish the whole Sky boxing production is that they don’t bother getting in pundits who actually follow boxing or do the slightest bit of research. And that the producers couldn’t even be bothered to get the message to Froch that he was pronouncing the name of one of the main event participants incorrectly, even given the ample opportunity they would have had as they were cutting to commercials between rounds even though it was a PPV.

Still, nice work if you can get it, eh.

I don't think he even landed a clean shot of note.

Froch was mid-sentence about how Usyk was "closing the distance" but Bellew "was still valiant", when the KO landed. He cut off his own waffle with "oh nice shot".

I loved Froch as a fighter, but he's a terrible commentator, they should fornicate him off.

interesting to hear the BBC 5live narrative last night, where in the cold light of days shills-in-chief Costello and Bunce were still breathlessly intoning that Usyk had been given his toughest ever fight.....
