BS.com has learned that Keith Thurman-Josesito Lopez, Leo Santa Cruz-Miguel Flores and Danny Garcia-Adrian Granados are among the FOX main events that’ll be revealed during a press conference Tuesday in Los Angeles.



Premier Boxing Champions/FOX main events through April are expected to be announced during that event. Al Haymon’s organization and FOX, a broadcast network available in roughly 120 million homes in the United States, announced a new partnership two months ago that will begin December 22 with a show that’ll feature twins Jermall Charlo and Jermell Charlo in respective defenses of their WBC interim middleweight title and WBC super welterweight crown.

The Thurman-Lopez fight will headline a January 26 card from Barclays Center in Brooklyn. A heavyweight bout between Brooklyn’s Adam Kownacki (18-0, 14 KOs) and Gerald Washington (19-2-1, 12 KOs), of Vellejo, California, also will be broadcast by FOX that night.

The 29-year-old Thurman (28-0, 22 KOs, 1 NC), of Clearwater, Florida, will fight for the first time since he defeated Garcia by split decision in March 2017 at Barclays Center. Thurman had elbow surgery in April 2017 and his return has since been delayed due to a hand injury.

The 34-year-old Lopez (36-7, 19 KOs), of Riverside, California, has won three straight fights since Andre Berto stopped him in the sixth round of their March 2015 bout in Ontario, California.

It's been a long time and he said about 8 months ago that he would not jump straight in for a title defense. I can see him facing top guys by mid next year if his body checks out OK. Be a shame if it dosent.

Still WBA super champion because WBA already have a regular belt running around.

WBC just stripped him stating he can fight for the belt again when he’s ready. I’d rather that than have Porter vs. Garcia for the Interim belt.

Shouldn't you expect a relatively weak opponent after a nearly 2 year layoff?

I think Lopez is okay, considering the lengthy time off and that it's a FOX broadcast card, not a premium cable offering.

Glad to see someone keeping it real about Crawford at 147lbs, Keith is on point there. A dirt merchant with the most tainted title maybe ever, and a mouthy fringe contender with one good leg and got a ridiculous gift against the only top level challenge as a pro. You can't deny Crawford's talent or potential, you can't call him proven at 147lbs either. Garcia, Porter, Spence, Thurman all could destroy both of those mugs in one night in half the time. Everyone should take a look at Crawford's resume, then look at Danny Garcia's. Only one guy has faced the best, it's obvious. Bob got the kool aid drinkers in a trance. Idongo=shit. Postol = wildly overrated. And those are Crawford's two biggest wins. Usyk outdid this guy's whole career, in one year. Someone please explain how TC belongs at the very top of any p4p list. If you talk about previous accomplishments then be real, weight bullying lightweights and even a dumpy featherweight in Gamboa while walking around in the 160's that is nothing compared to what others have done. He is going to go down as a ridiculous waste of talent if unifying that shit division, a division that got exponentially better soon after he left, is the career defining moment. I see a guy with the potential to be one of the best ever, he could be that good, and we may never know.

Let’s see how he performs here.. I do think he’s wasted a good year of his prime. Back to back fights with Porter and Garcia was perfect even if it came nearly a year later..
