hhere are a few of his scheduled but cancelled fights.

Vitali Klitschko vrs Donovan "Razor"Ruddock for the WBO Heavyweight title on April 2000 (Ruddock pulled out at last minute due to injury)
Vitali Klitschko vrs Hasim Rachman in April 2005 for mandatory WBC defense,
(this bout was re-scheduled postponed because of injuries and Vitali Klitschko retired after knee surgery)

Vitali Kiltischo vrs David Haye in September 2009 (Haye's manager pulled him out mainly for finiacial reasons)
and also there were negotiations to fight David Haye in March 2012.

Valuev was set to fight Vitali and pulled out of an opportunity to sign.

Ruddock had a odd injury, a reverse vastly vasectomy that went bad. So its understandable why he pulled out.

Haye had the opposite problem, no balls at all to take the fight.

An of course Lewis opted not to re-match.

now you sound like a Vitali Klitschko fan.
I think the one fighter Vatali Klitschko wanted to fight was Oleg Maskaev, particularly in 2005 before his knee injury forced him to retire.
They once fought in the amteurs, where Maskaev would later claim he had knocked down Vitali 3 times in the second round of an amateur fight
in Tashkent Uzbeckistan in 1991.Vitali has denied this and said he went into the fight with a hurt right hand and his corner threw in the towel
when he was using it after they warned him not to.

from what I remember as far as the proposed Vitali Klitschko vrs David Hay fight for Septemeber 2012
( after Hayes's loss to Vladimir Klitschko)
That fight was planned to take place in Kiev Ukraine, but Haye said it was too dangerous for him to go fight there.

Vitali Klitschko vrs Bermane Stiverine for the WBC belt in July 2013.
(Vitali retires instead).

and of course Vitali Klitschko was originally to fight top contender Cedric Boswell (21-0-0)
on the undercard of the proposed Lennox Lewis vrs Kirk Johnson title defense in June 2003.
but Kirk Johnson pulled out due to injury shortly before the fight so Vitali Klitschko took his place.
(Vitali Klitschko was originally scheduled to fight Lennox Lewis later in December 2003 anyaways)

Not exactly cancelled, but I understood Vitali wanted to fight Tyson (completely shot at that time), and the reasone it did not happen is that Mike lost to Danny Williams (so Vitali fought him instead).

Surely it's only if his reverse vasectomy worked that he would have to pull out?

Jameel McCline had been a scheduled comeback opponent, perhaps circa 2008. I can't remember who pulled out.

I'm pretty sure Vitali also wanted to fight Brian Nielson around 1999 when Nielsen was still on his winning streak.
I like info like this because it expands what you may not know about some Boxers
and puts them more into an Historical perspective.
