Sergey Kuzman vs LaRon Mitchell on this Saturday's HBO telecast?

Mitchell was actually world rated by one of the sanctioning bodies up until a couple of months ago when the tough spoiler Rodney Hernandez upset him in an eight-rounder leaving him with a 16-1 mark. Which, on paper looks good enough for the network to use him as an opponent for the 13-0 Kuzmin.
I'm hoping that they do telecast the fight as Kuzmin has the potential to become a legit top ten heavyweight & I'd like to get a look at him.

Really? That's too bad. I was really looking forward to getting a look at Kuzmin.

Decent fight. Kuzmin will be the clear favourite but Mitchell was long regarded a prospect in his own right. Granted he did nothing to really further that status for a long time, and then lost to Rodney Hernandez who is a very good test for any promising heavyweight. I guess how interesting it will be depends on how much ambition LaRon has left after that defeat.

Well, if Bivol takes out the shopworn Pascal as quickly as I think he will perhaps HBO will show a clip of the Kuzman - Mitchell fight as filler. It's hard to say though. Were the network to continue on with the sport I'm sure they would in order to give a little push to the Russian & set up future fights with him but with boxing being dead to them after December... who knows?
