I don't think there's a bigger fight out there for Hughie right now. Agree with post re: decent purse bids for that fight. If I remember correctly then didn't Hughie vs Sexton do decent numbers on 5? Although it was a poor performance against Pulev, did enough people tune in to really damage his ability to do decent views? Plus you've got a British Olympic silver medallist. Easy enough fight to sell IMO.

Can't see Joyce v hughie happening, and doubt Warren makes Gorman v dubois anytime soon

No surprise that these two want it. Just down to the other two, who are both unlikely to want it.

I think this puts pressure on Warren if he wants Dubois to be his posterboy.

Dubois vs Gorman aint happening. frank said in an interview that people are stupid if they think this fight would happen anytime soon and that he wants the fight to be in front of 30k people so by the sounds of it this fight aint gonna happen till at least 2020.

doesnt really make sense from his perspective to have it now, it would just sort of weaken one of the prospects standings (lossess do matter, even hardcore fans ditch guys for a loss even if at high level) when right now hes got 2 of the brighter young hws who could be raised each as an a seperate a side on there own

Joyce wants it, Hughie doesn’t.

Gorman wants it, Dubois hasn’t said a thing so I assume he doesn’t.

Surely that leaves Joyce v Gorman then?

I’m not against that :TU:

true but i feel that with aj already being massively hyped and with olympic gold medal credbility, losing to him wasnt such a big deal.

i mean, we do have prospect vs prospect fights where they both go on to good things, also groves vs degale (another olympic gold medalist and imo more advanced at that stage then either of these guys) . but you also get many many cases of one prospect beating the other and the loser losing a lot of steam and sometimes just not being the same after. esp if the fight wasnt competitive

as a fan though, id love to see it without needless 'marination'

yh that is true but I these guys are so young that they are most likely going to improve a lot more. the most annoying thing about this is Gorman wants the fight and im sure dubois would take it but frank is getting in the way says he wants this to be a big arena fight but the fight is already big 2 undefeated young heavyweight prospects plus the fact that it is so early on in their careers would make it harder to call

When FW was doing BN, he needed to put on decent fights to get money.
Now with BT he has more financial muscle to put on the big fights but it seems that BT have a quality control that Sky doesn't.
I guess this is down to Adam Smith, and it's true when it was FW with SKY, he was able to put on dross too.

Frank is nothing but a hypocrite.

Quick Google search pulled this up.....
Warren responded by saying: "What I suggest Eddie Hearn does is do what I'd do. He's moaning about nobody will fight Hosea Burton. So why doesn't he put Buatsi in with Hosea Burton and let the winner fight (British and Commonwealth light heavyweight champion) Callum Johnson? He's got those three fighters, and by the time those happen my guy [Yarde] is there and it'd be a big fight. And we'll make the winner of those three a big offer."
He's got that old school mentality of a loss being the end for a prospect.

This would be a cracking fight, a great learning experience for both men, and would bring a lot of viewers who otherwise wouldn't know who either fighter was

I saw lots of people on twitter giving it abuse. Think its bizarre anyone is surprised.
It certainly aint gonna be a ppv or "in front of 30k people" but Dubois Vs Gorman is a great british title fight....
Both are such young, good prospects... Frank will want commonwealth and intercontibullshit titles thrown in so the winner can vacate the british right after.

totally agree mate also correct me if im wrong but the fight was ordered as an eliminator for the British title and not for the English title like frank said it was so is he just confused or blatantly lying now. not that it makes much of a difference but come on at least get your facts right

it probably wont be ppv but with a good undercard it could probably be in an arena like the 02

This should be easy for Fwank to make and stick on BT! Few competitive undercard scraps and you've got a cracking show!

This is what British boxing needs! Didn't do Groves or DeGale any harm did it?

Hatton had already stated that he and Gorman would take the fight in a heart beat, but he also made it clear that Warren doesn't want it yet. This interview with warren confirms it.

30 thousand in an outdoor fight? - What year is he planning putting this fight on then 2025?

Basically, he’s a pudendum. Im frustrated with Hearn’s goings on myself, but at least he’s not like FW.

Get your shocked faces ready...
Also, Dubois has pulled out against Cajanu, Gorman will face Cojanu instead and pull out of the Leapai fight.
