The first dude sparring there,he sure looks light complected..
He just seems to have a tiche more melenum in his legs compared to his T-Shirt and white socks.
(BTW he was supposed to be fighting in a "Norton-esqe" style in sparring with Foreman).

Sounds like a thankless and painful job.
Anyone know where Brutu disappeared to?

Ah yeah maybe you're right, I was watching on my mobile phone before, he looked darker. Looks more white on my big PC screen.

It sure looks like Marty Monroe to me too. What with his being tall, mustachioed & slim. http://static.boxrec.com/thumb/0/0f/Mar ... Monroe.jpg

This short article also mentions a couple of proposed Foreman fights that never happened.
Foreman vs Larry Middleton June1975 Las Vegas(for network tv).
Foreman vs Pedro Lovell July 1975 LA Forum.

Foreman was scheduled to fight a tune-up for the Jimmy Young fight vs Larry Middleton on 1/11/77 but Middleton pulled out for some reason & Pedro Agosto stepped in as his opponent.

The Nevada commission wouldn't let Middleton fight Foreman in January 77 on the grounds that he had "traumatic cataracts" in both eyes. A few months later Middleton attempted to sue Don King on the grounds that King signed him to a (Foreman) fight that King knew would never happen (sounds like King had grounds to sue Middleton for not disclosing his eye issues). Middleton fought only once more, in DC, in January 78.

A couple of George Foreman's regular sparring partners in 1989 for his comeback were
Brent "Bruiser" Bowers a HW Pipe-fitter from Houston
and Bob "Wind-Mill" Cook who was a fast middleweight.
Foreman would spare 6 rounds without pausing alternating with the 2 for the six rounds.

I asked Foreman on Twitter did he ever spar Mac Foster and he said he did not. I could copy and paste the comment here for people who don't believe me.

do you mean where it said earlier in this thread that Foreman sparred with Mac Foster in Venuzuala
when he was getting ready to fight Ken Norton in 1974 ?
I think I read that over at newspaperarchives years ago.
I should have cited the source where I read that.
Mac Foster was still active in 1974 but did Mac Foster ever visit Venuazala ?
BTW Mac Foster was originally scheduled to have been one of the Toronto Five
when it was announced in April 1975

hey re-phrase the question and ask Mr. Foreman what sparring partners he had used when he was getting ready to fight Ken Norton
in Caracas Venezula in March 1974 ?
maybe that will jog his memory.
