I said the same thing after reading his autobiography. As for Shavers, he stands at 6'0 1/2" because if you look closer at his fight with Jerry Quarry, who stood 6 feet tall, Shavers is a bit taller than him by half an inch. If you watch Shavers' fight against James "Quick" Tillis, who stands at 6'1", Shavers stands half an inch shorter. Shavers' body looks like he stands at 6'1", but I watch those 2 fights show that he's 6'0 1/2" and is about right.

Watch the staredown between Tillis and Shavers; no way is Tillis only a half inch taller than Shavers.

Yes, I watched the staredown, Tillis look like he was an inch taller than Shavers, but I go back and look at Shavers' fight with Jerry Quarry from an angle that Shavers is maybe half an inch taller. If Shavers look different in height minus his hair factor maybe he had a back problem and shrink to half an inch shorter. If Shavers stand at 6 feet and a half inches tall, then maybe Tillis may stand at 6 feet 1 and a half inches tall. Shavers' body look like he stand between 6 feet and 6 foot 1 inches tall, but he may stand at 6 feet and a half inches tall. I think that we should pause the fight if Shavers is a little taller than Quarry.
