Re: Daniyar Yeleussinov ?

Re: Daniyar Yeleussinov ?
Exactly my thoughts.
It's too early to say if he has what it takes to eventually take his place among the elite at Welterweight but I cannot rule it out. It'll be fun to watch his progress.

Looks like it. His amateur credentials are comparable to his compatriot GGG, but Golovkin turned pro right after 24th birthday and Daniyar was already 27 when he debuted as a pro.

A few fellow Kazakhs who could rival Yeleussinov as future Kazakhstani stars:
20-year-old former World Under-19 Championships Gold Medalist Sadriddin Akhmedov, a 5-0 welterweight based in Canada.

Ivan Dychko is better known because he's a HW 2-time Olympian but is already 28 and probably lacks the impressive pro future of Yeleussinov or Akhmedov.

Re: Daniyar Yeleussinov ?
Maybe some pro-Brummie bias since both are from Birmingham.
Or maybe just pro-Brit bias...I'm not familiar enough with Macklin's commentating to know which.
