Tyson Fury makes generous offer to help the less fortunate ahead of Deontay Wilder fight!

"Tyson Fury makes generous offer to help the less fortunate ahead of Deontay Wilder fight"

Lineal heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has pledged to give his purse to the poor after his world title fight against Deontay Wilder this weekend.

The 30-year-old self-proclaimed ‘Gypsy King’, who faces the American WBC heavyweight champion on Saturday 1 December, surprised many with his bold claim this week.

“I’m going to give it to the poor and I’m going to build homes for the homeless,” Fury said, according to The Sportsman. “I don’t really have much use for it, I’m not interested in becoming a millionaire or a billionaire.

“I’m a boxer not a businessman and I’ll probably go down the same route as every other boxer – skint at the end of it all.

“You can’t take it with you, so I might as well do something with it and help out people who can’t help themselves.”

Fury is expected to earn as much as £8m from the fight. But rather than bank the money for a rainy day, the father of four insists he wants to see his kids make their own way through life without relying his own high-earning potential.

“I believe all kids should make their own money in life because if they don’t, they won’t appreciate it,” he said.

“You see many of these rich people’s kids doing nothing because they had it too easy. I never had it easy, I had to work for whatever I got. I was working from very young, everything I wanted in life I had to work for.”

Sounds like an early response for people who say he was just there for the payday after he gets annihilated.

I really like both Wilder and Fury. Fury has comeback from a drug and alcohol addiction and is in the biggest heavyweight fight of the year. Not even mentioning his dramatic weight loss. The guy is an inspiration.
Wilder is just so fun to watch.
I will not be happy with either of these men losing this Saturday

I did like Fury. His candid honesty about mental health, etc but he’s just talking too much now. And it’s jabs at others fighter and self boasting. Tired of it. If he delivers I’ll be most impressed - if he backs up what he’s been spewing and against the odds, he deserves huge respect and credit. However until he does that I’m over the Connor McGregor loud antics.

If only he could be more like Hughie Fury who’s much more reserved. It’s almost like Tyson got Muhammad Ali’s mouth and Hughie Fury got Ali’s amazing skills and movement. When I watch Hughie he floats on air...shades if not a replication of Ali.

Jokes aside, Tyson needs to deliver before he starts celebrating what he’s achieved coming back from drug addiction etc because who knows if Wilder rolls him in rd 1 he could be back on that wagon.

Agreed. Why would you make a public comment like that if you weren't intending to go through with it? I'm not saying he will go through with it, but why set yourself up for ridicule and abuse if you change your mind?

My thoughts are, I'll believe it when I see it. I don't even think that Fury would give up every dime of £8 million to charity.

May be it would be more appropriate to wait until he's actually made the donation before dumping praise on him.

I get the feeling we're seeing the real now Tyson Fury and I like it.

I think he's been playing the pre-fight publicity game and it didn't go down as well with the public as he was hoping and the backlash made him pretty bitter...... probably contributed to his mental health issues.

I like the more relaxed Fury and I sincerely hope he wins on Sunday.

I think Fury will give "something" to charity, perhaps as much as a seven-digit sum, but probably not his entire purse, which is being speculated,

Because words are like sh!tting or p!ssing for some people. They just spew it out and leave it behind.

Some people verbalize things because the words create something (an obligation of sorts) that they treat as the foundation of the idea, and they build on it.

Tyson Fury has been employing the latter to rebuild his life. He has used words to obligate himself to pull his life back together and rebuild it mentally and physically.

I applaud him for what he has accomplished, all of which began with the words. He deserves respect for rebuilding his life from the ashes that it had been reduced to, win, lose, or draw.

But, we who hold him accountable for his words and deeds are far more responsible for helping him to rebuild than his throngs of worshippers whom would have been content to embrace what might have been while claiming he would have beaten anyone and everyone who he never fought.

Read it again, and think about it.

I did not say that words are like “urine and faeces.” Urine and faeces are words that represent p!ss and sh!t. They do not represent the act of p!ssing / urinating or shitting / defacating which are the acts of expunging urine / piss and “faeces” / sh!t.

What I said is that some people expunge words like they expunge sh!t and p!ss. They just spew them out and leave them behind, thoughtlessly.

Does that help?

Anything else?
