Well in tommy,one of the real gentlemen of this sport,if i was ronnie this would upset me to know there are genuine nice people in the sport of boxing.

I have kinda tried to refrain commenting on stuff as I am biased on whole situation so a few things in regards to situation. The way he's been treated promotionally is disgusting. This is evident on fw website when listing his fighters. Is Ronnie anywhere to be seen? This website is update frequently but why no mention of Ronnie who is tied into a long term deal? People questioned the rematch stuff and our judgement on it all but if you look how things have penned in since I'll allow you to do the maths and work out who was telling the truth. Throughout the whole time a fw representive has sent emails since June with threats to take fights and made comments such as he'll stop him providing for his family. Again all seen with my own eyes.

Don't ever be fooled into thinking Ronnie or ourselves don't know about the good people in boxing because trust me we do. And Ronnie is also one of them. Ronnie possibly gets stuck from what myself and daviddee do on the boards but we are playing the game. Tommy Coyle, Danny Vaughan , Robbie Davies junior they have all been in a gym with Ronnie and know he's a stand up guy. People view a story in a newspaper which has arms and legs added. They don't see the community stuff he does. I challenge any single person to go and speak with John Reilly from lochee boys club or joe Duffy from st Francis out two local clubs and I guarantee no pro does more than he does. Supports every one of there shows, gives each and every kid all he can with no hidden agenda.

Ronnie has made mistakes in the past and over a message board we all can be opinionated and arrogant, myself included but I hope coming from this that boxing can be seen for what it is, I hope that people will give Ronnie a chance to show the person he is and people will judge him in person other than internet articles. Trust me he's one of the good guys, just dodgy fashion trends and hair choices.

When you say tied into a long term deal what do you mean exactly ? What are the terms of the deal ? Is it actually a board contract deal etc ?

3 fights unless he loses basically. Can't go into to much detail as they will threaten to sue AGAIN. Bullying of the highest format. Tip of the iceberg it all coming out. Ronnie is a pawn in the game and anything he achieves he certainly won't need to thank the people looking after him supposedly for it.

Yeah I’ve heard similar stories for many years when I was on the Midlands area council we always used to warn boxers at their initial interview about signing contracts that are not approved by the board because other disputes that are not on board letter paper are civil matters leaving the board powerless to act but sadly I’ve seen careers wrecked simply because boxers haven’t heeded the advice take ticket deal contracts which are not recognised by the board as a prime example I wish Ronnie all the best in his career

Loads of Boxers been in this situation, and while it's poor they usually just tread water till they get out of the contract.
Your comments earlier about what Ronnie does, and how he's a top bloke had me reading back through the thread, and didn't see anyone say he was wasn't.
I hope he gets sorted soon, and can turn that corner

I am sure it is also standard in Fwanks contracts that if you lose 2 consecutive fights then your contract is void.

So if you lose one he can just over match you, throw you to the wolves before fooking you off.

The Board make out that the boxer employs the manager / promoter, which is bollox but they won’t do anything because they are all in the gravy train

I Don't trust managers or promotors. What they do is as good as corruption. They manipulate fights in little ways such as short notice, financial restraints and bullying tactics. When Ronnie fought zelfa he was placed like a 1.5 hour journey from venue which is totally messing when he's making weight. He was also about to be stuck in a shit hole changing room, not playing his ring music just anything to try and mess him about. It's meant to be a gentleman's sport yet that is not displaying that. Fw expected Ronnie to come and lie down cause that's what others have done and continue to do.

Had a few friends who fought under matchroom(barry hearn) and Maloney and they got paid straight after the fight i know friends who fought for the other guy and waited 8 weeks to get paid

I fought on Hearn, Maloney and FW shows, I got paid on the night with all of them, it was a cheque with FW though, but it didn't bounce!
FW was the best payer too.
I heard that he still always pays on the night other than some of the bigger purses. Certainly some fighters are happy with this because he is the best payer.
