what is ruiz even doing anyway
He's doing what he does best. Eat and not fight.
Wonder what happened to him. Finally returned this year.. but just one fight he had.

He's pulled out of 20 shitty fights. He's a nut job and he blows.

I imagine it’d be a lot easier for him not facing some of the huge lads at Heavyweight. I’d like to see him against Joyce, Parker or Gorman down the line.

Having said that, don’t wanna see Hunter matched too hard on the Whyte/Chisora card, he’s got something to give the sport, he shouldn’t have to be overmatched against someone after already fighting twice in two months.
He's always been a HW that can make CW, same with Briedis and Gassiev. Usyk's resume is translating well at HW given both Briedis and now Hunter have done well there.
Good point. Breidis KO’ing Charr looks better now than it did previous.

'hes always been a hw that can make cw'

well at 6'2 and a bit soft at 213 (thats w/o any cutting probably) i thinks hes much more naturally suited to cruiser, its just that hes good enough anyway to beat those guys anyway despite the size differences

i do think the top big men would prove too much and overpower him but i figure he can maybe cut the top 15. i mean some people rate kownacki top 10 and tbh id pick hunter over him. i think he also has good chances to beat guys like helenius, ruiz, wach, charr, etc

He has two good wins over two big guys. They're very good wins for the division currently too. I remember Ilunga was pretty hyped. I mean Hunter fought as a SHW in the amateurs.

Povetkin was/is soft at HW, but he's extremely effective there. Who are the only in-shape HW's? Wilder, Joshua (who is very likely on something), and Fury from the Klitschko fight. I mean Wilder came in at 214, IIRC, for Ortiz.

CW's are just in-shape HW's. There are some CW's like Lebedev that are pure CW's, but I don't think there are many at the top.
