BILLY JOE SAUNDERS WILL WIN £166K BET IF TYSON FURY BEATS WILDER

Image

A punter who placed a whopping £20k bet on Tyson Fury has been outdone by an even bigger hitter who has taken the side of the ‘Gypsy King’ in his bout with Deontay Wilder in LA on Saturday.

It’s his fellow boxer and close friend of Fury, Billy Joe Saunders, who’s had a mammoth punt on him doing the business.
The former WBO middleweight champ strolled into a Ladbrokes shop and had a cool £70k on his old mate Fury to do the business at the Staples Centre.

In a video that’s been doing the rounds on social media, having been posted by Saunders to his own Instagram page, he’s shown to have on two separate bets - one at £50k and one at £20k, both at odds of 11/8 - on the former unified champ maintaining his unbeaten record.

That means he stands to win a sum total of £166,250 should his bet cash.

Would be a better return on a £70k investment by throwing it into a wishing well.

He's obviously not short of a few quid but I would of still thought he would of gone somewhere with the best odds. Paddy power are 13/8 and a few others are 6/4 that's got to amount up to a fair bit over 70k when he took 11/8

Having not had a bet for years shouldn't it say who Fury is fighting and when ?

Why do you think he was able to get the bet on in the first place? I'm limited to £11.50 on Skybet, 37p on Unibet and banned by Coral and I'm a nobody.

The shop staff would have had to rung up and OK'd that kind of bet so it would be shown in their system

No. He stands to win £96,250.

His total return of £166,250 includes the stake which is not classed as winnings.

He should and will be back, boxing is his life. That retarded decision by that comission won't change the fact that he's the best middleweight at the moment and definitely become champion again. May take 2 or 3 fights.

Canelo will not fight him until it's absolutely unavoidable.

He’s a cheating PED user. He deserved to be stripped and doesn’t deserve another title shot in his career.

Cheats should be banned for life.
