I loved Gomez so I'm a little biased.

Marquez. A counter puncher of that caliber is a nightmare for Gomez, who'd also be the smaller man.

Gomez would have some success early but as Marquez times him and gets into a rhythm he'd start to take over and probably get a late stoppage if he went for it. Having said that he was more content to play it safe at 126 so he could just be happy letting it go to the cards.

I'd have to favor Marquez. Gomez is a magnificent puncher, and I could definitely see him dropping Marquez, but I think Marquez would have a more refined overall game, and we all know Marquez has a tendency to keep his composure even under intense pressure...if anything he raises his game when hurt. I think he'd win a UD over Gomez, but he'd have a few dicey moments along the way due to Gomez's power.

yeah, wouldn't be surprised if JMM got wobbled a little early but walking into his wheelhouse throwing shots (albeit, Gomez did it with considerable skill) is a recipe to get face-planted; difficult not to think of JMM in a similar stylistic advantage to the one Sanchez had over Gomez.
