Scott Harrison gets a new opponent

Post by MightyWarrior »

Again.

As Martin Honorio goes AWOL, in steps tough Aussie Gairy St. Claire.
Looks like it'll be going 12 rounds.....

Wonder what odds you'll get on St. Clair for this? I'm not sure if he's as good as he used to be, but if he's firing on all cylinders there could definitely be an upset here.

Definately, if Scott is in the sort of form that he has been in the past few fights I can see St Clair winning... mind you St Clair will probably have ot beat the judges up as well to get a draw!... 8)

It cheers me up when fighters get good replacements because Im so used to them being poor. Kind of restors my faith in boxing. Think Lennox Lewis could have fought anyone but chose Klitschko at 2 weeks notice, even froch when he brought in Adamu at the last min. Have to respect that, don't like Harrison but has deffinatly gone up in my estimation for accepting that... watch now the bloke will turn up in a wheel chair and I will have to go back to being cynical and jaded

sorry, but did you check st. clair's record?!? i remember this guy... sure, his losses are all to name guys, but his recent wins are over basically scrubs from thailand (not too much depth there at 135#) & his "career-best" win over a mediocre nuyorican with a glitzy record named shamir reyes is nothing special & reyes has lost 2 out of 3 bouts since st clair!!

i was actually going to give harrison medium credit for honorio...even tho he was a step down from guzman, he has a recent win over previously unbeaten & highly touted steve luevano, but st clair is even a bigger step downward from honorio than honorio was from guzman!!

Well he went the distance with Corrales and Vivian Harris, so fair to say he's tough no?

Never stopped, unbeaten in his last 21...but it's a long ol' flight from Perth.

Gairy St. Claire.is a good replacement at such short notice. Lets hope he is already near the weight and gets over to the UK as soon as possible as he will need to be fit and strong to take on a hardman like Scott Harrison.

My faith in this card is restored! Harrison-St. Claire is a good solid matchup, seems better than Honorio anyway and with Khan and Magee-Takaloo on the bill should be exciting :box:
