Found a copy of Boxing Illustrated from 1989,
They confirm ID #716081 Tony Anthony is ID #002970 Tony Anthony getting back in the ring at age 54 (!) after a 29 year career break (!) and fighting under the name Lord Sir Anthony of the Holy Knights of Malta (!)

That was a completely different fighter who made all kinds of crazy claims. Because of the name and his age, a number of magazine falsely assumed he was the former contender.
