One of the worst decisions of the year. Probably the worst. And the cards werent even close. Obviously they were already written in. Disgusting.

Briedis won this fight, no doubt, but it was a poor fight, i think that even someone like Masternak would beat him that night.

i had 115-111, 114-112 would be good too so i generally agree with the scorecards

it was a boring watch but i need to rewatch it. i had it 115-111 (but to be fair, i missed some parts of some rounds) for Briedis but looks like 80% or so scored it for Mikaelian

I agree with the opinions, that it was a poor and surprisingly close fight, that Briedis disappointed.

I hear a lot of robbery claims.

Briedis looks to be slippin. His reserve fight in July was also a poor showing.

I had Mikaelian winning 114-112, Briedis was woeful, scores were a disgrace

Ive yet to be impressed with Briedis, laboured against Huck and Perez and I know everyone thought he pushed Usyk close but not for me he didn't, laboured in the fight after Usyk and laboured last night night , he's poor IMO

i also do not understand those claims that Usyk vs Briedis was so close. of course, Briedis was competetive in the first half of the fight, but the proper score for this fight was 117-111. the official scorecards were too close, i remember that most of people feared that they will rob Usyk when the card were revealed. a lot of rounds were close but Usyk clearly edged most of them.

ya, agree with that, i had usyk winning 8 or 9 rounds vs briedis, was really surprised that some agreed with the judges having it razor close

also, i managed to rewatch this fight with sound muted, and tbh i still dont see a robbery. yes, some cards were too generous to brieidis, but i really feel like it couldve gone either way by a point. imo bj flores going all out with the gevor was robbed stuff contributed to it. ...bj does that a lot, just goes all out pushing his score. during the fight i was posting at another forum where guys were watching with foriegn language commentary, and pretty much everyone thought it could go either way

graham houston, whose opinion i really respect, is saying the same....just doesnt get the robbery fuss and thinks in no way was it an outrageous decision

when i was watching it live i had it 115-111 Briedis (but i was not focused at all and i have missed some parts of the fight). i have rewatched this fight the day after and i scored it 113-113. now i have rewatched it once again and i went with 114-112 Mikaelian.

funny thing is that Noel Mikaelian arguably could be 25-0 now with wins over Briedis and Wlodarczyk.

115-112 Briedis

Mikaelian is skilled and awkward. There were many close rounds. The difference for me were the last two rounds that I felt Briedis edged.

Claims of a horrible decision are sour grapes. I would have had no problem if Mikaelian had been scored the winner 114-113 or 115-112ish.

People are just hating on Briedis, imo.

Maybe, but, kind of like Badou Jack, he doesn’t do enough to create clear separation.

I thought Briedis did enough to win close.

that's true, i think it would be fair if Mikealian's record was 23-0-2 with draws vs Wlodarczyk and Briedis. both fights very awful and boring though, both of these fights lacked action.

I think that Mikaelian is a spoiler in the true sense; he spoils fights.
