if Fury knocks out Wilder..........

Post by snake33 »

It'll be a body shot. He has effective power to the liver.
A solid shot like that early will change the rhythm of the fight.
Wilder will not windmill if he gets the wind knocked out of him.

That would be a good strategy on Fury's part...let's see how this fight plays out. I expect a competitive matchup for as long as it lasts.

Fury and Wilder have both promised to knock the other one out. Fury also seems to believe that Wilder's power is overrated, having never been tested against the elite, claiming that 'old man' Ortiz went down more to fatigue than anything else. If he stops Wilder then there will be a deafening silence amongst his critics, myself included.

Meanwhile back on planet Earth, to paraphrase Jim Watt (Tyson v Holmes), 'I'll be looking in Fury's direction the whole fight expecting something to happen'.

I have no doubt that Fury has enough pop to stop Wilder. What the Ortiz fight proved more than anything is that Wilder proved that he has the heart and ability to recover from being seriously rocked.

Fury won’t knock him out because he’ll spend the whole fight on the backfoot, jabbing and circling away from that right hand. Sadly this fight will be a stinker.

Fury isn’t gonna sit down on shots inside the pocket like Ortiz. Ortiz was looking to end the fight which is not the proper strategy against Wilder. You box and move him.

Don't be a petty idiot. I said a body shot. I could be wrong.
And it will most likely go to UD.

No - It sounds like over training. I think he's worried.

Wilder needs to be at his athletic best because Fury is gonna be running laps around that ring. Coming in light is probably smart.

Tomorrow after this fight we will see another 100 topics started on how Fury would of won if it was 2015
or Fury was a bum and was hand picked by Wilder. Or my favorite It was prearranged and Fury took a dive.

Yep 100 plus more threads are coming my friend :TU:

Fury WILL knock out wilder twice, on saturday & in the rematch in spring/summer. Then everybody will want to see Joshua vs. Fury which will decide who is the real king of the division. Wilder can go back fighting... whomever, nobody will give a shit again. The saddest chapter in the wbc-championship history will finally be over.

I generally do not make my predictions until the day of the fight because of tiny matters like the weighin.

body shots could be a factor indeed. wilder said that he himself will target the body. i think fury will be very cautious early, and we will see what develops later on.

I can't see Wilder targeting the body too much. I think if he did that with his style he'd leave his head wide open

Yeah I can't imagine he'll go for the body either. I don't really recall Wilder ever landing a particularly meaningful body punch in any fight.

I’m American and I’m rooting for Fury now. At first I thought it was a mismatch and too soon but after the presser and Hearing Roach rave about Fury’s ability and conditioning, we may finally see Wilder’s big mouth shut.

With that said though, if Wilder pulls it out then he’s got a pretty good argument for FOY. I’m sure Canelo will get it though and he didn’t even win a fight this year imo
