He’ll get more via British TV rights. :TU:

I don’t think it’ll be THAT much more though, what with Joyce and Fury also on the card.

Wow!
Hurd is massive next to Welborne. And you know he is going to hydrate to even bigger
Sure Jason did well against the size of Langford, but he never had the power Hurd brings :o

Give me a pair of long nosed pliers, hot wax, a cheese grater, several lengths of rope, a locked room and 10 minutes alone with that blondie. Sheer carnage.

The reward for ducking Heffron and a fight at the MEN is 30k before expenses and a pasting against Hurd ? Very poorly advised.

Do all the TV undercard fighters get a cut of the PPV revenue on top of their purse?

I doubt they all do, just the main event fighters, but BT would have a separate budget, which they'd use to pay Welborn extra money.

I hope he does get more than 30k because that is a very poor wage after giving everyone their cut and expenditures for training and flights etc.

He could take a serious beating in there, for what 15 bags. His advisors need to take a long look in the mirror if this figure is true. He might not be the same fighter after tonight

Welborn has literally no chance in this, sorry, boxer with low punching power cannot defeat Hurd, he will literally walk through punches

The purses have been posted - $30k is about £23k

Does the promoter pay for flights and hotels etc on top, or does this come out of the purse?

30k seems a bit low so I guess expenses are on top.
I believe FW used to pay $50k all in for Hatton and Calzaghe opponents

30us seems awful to me if thats actually all of it. i get the lure of the big stage and to say you fought a legit champ for world ttles...but 30 seems rather chump change for that type of fight. trav kauffmans getting almost 5x that on the same card....

how much would welby even get after tax/expenses?

I know Welborn is a tough man but there is a few levels between these 2. Hurd gets him out of there before round 4

Did you mean Hagler-Sibson or SRL-Dave Green?
 I was wondering when someone would correct that I remember both fights well both English lads were well out of their depth I really was concerned for the health of Dave green
 Same here! It seems like only yesterday, where on earth do the years go? I was young and fearless then, especially on behalf of my heroes, I dared to dream that the Fens Tiger could beat Leonard. I recall a story at the time where the ref asked Green if he knew where he was etc after he counted him out, the reply was "I'm in London and its raining"

I remember something was wrong with Sibsons shorts or waistband in his fight with Hagler, they kept falling down so not only did he have to endure a beating from one of the greatest middleweights ever his shorts were constantly down too
