Deontay Wilder vs. Tyson Fury - 1 December 2018
Re: Deontay Wilder vs. Tyson Fury - 1 December 2018
I think there's certain fighters you want amped up and some you want passive. You definitely want wilder passive, I think an angry wilder is far more dangerous then if fury had of been respectful he could of taken the opening rounds and tried to eek out a decision.
Angry wilder is all wrong for him. When wilder decides to go for it he normally stops people immediately. The fights he's trailed, he's been passive.

I know people will say “oh this is just mind games from Ben” but I remember an interview with either Tyson or his dad where they talked about the same thing ages ago.

Both guys look fine to me.
Wilder is in his usual shape.
Fury is at a decent weight.
It's not a bodybuilding contest.

Cannot see wilder losing this good luck to Fury his boxing skills will take him so far but it will end abruptly in about 6 or seven rounds as soon as wilder goes for it

The other question is does Fury even have the power to KO Wilder he’s not a one punch concusive hitter like Joshua he wears people down. Ortiz landed hard on Wilder and could not finish him. Fury needs to basically repeat the wlad fight and that is his only chance by winning a dull decision.

I think we know what Fury is going to try and do,it's all down to Wilder to stop him fighting his negative way.Spiker wrote: ↑01 Dec 2018, 07:48 The other question is does Fury even have the power to KO Wilder he’s not a one punch concusive hitter like Joshua he wears people down. Fury has clearly put on some muscle that's why he appears leaner but hasn't dropped much weight since his last fight.
He's probably has around half a stone of fat more than the klit fight but looks to have a bit more muscle so I can't see if affecting him
I'm going for fury on points but I'm not confident enough to money on it

As I've bleated before, Fury has been hurt by wild swinging overhand rights (to varying degrees Cunningham, Pajkic, Firtha & Chisora (I) all hurt him with that shot), which is Wilder's best weapon. But his recovery coupled with his quite blatant holding & mauling get him through & has always tired out the other dude who obviously goes mental trying to put him out of there.
This brings me to my next point: who's the ref gonna be? If Fury gets away with half the shite he pulled vs Cunningham or Pajkic etc then Wilder's gonna get KO'd late, IMO, 'cos even though it puts him at risk Fury's a much, much better inside fighter & obviously he's like a whole Corona ring-card girl bigger—even if he is such a dirty fornicator that if he was from another country there'd be like six threads calling for his disqualification after every fight. (Seriously, remember the Wlad threads we all used to make on here years ago, taking the piss constantly & going on about his wrestling? I've been watching quite a lot of Fury in the build-up to this, & he's far, far worse.)
If, OTOH Fury pulls his ultra-conservative fiddly shite out (Wlad, Chisora II, Hammer etc) then I don't know if Wilder can get to him.
Gah. Just wanna watch it now. I think it might be a stylistic & aesthetic abortion but I just wanna see what happens.
As someone I know said: "Their faults complement each other so well".

Here’s why I changed my mind on the #FuryWilder fight...

What extra weight? He's lost about 10 stone, he'll be feeling as light as a feather.keithmoonhangover wrote: ↑01 Dec 2018, 08:56No, but fitness is important and Fury's will be effected by the extra weight.

Bloody hell.. Nearly 800 posts and 30+ pages.. Going back to when this was announced in mid-August..
We're finally here.. Tonight we'll see it.
As a boxing fan, I don't care who wins.. I like Wilder and Fury.. It would be huge for Fury to win as a Brit, but then we'd see it again.. I hear even if Wilder wins, Fury has a rematch clause too?
Sometimes, you don't need to see fight's twice.

Have you seen the massive love handles he has. He's 9lbs heavier than when he fought Klitschko and those nine pounds are around his middle. He might be 10 stone lighter, but he is not in the shape of his life. His body has to carry that extra weight around for 12 rounds. His upper body movement will be effected, as will his footwork.ewenhay wrote: ↑01 Dec 2018, 09:29What extra weight? Yeah, for many that sounded unbelievable, but now it'll happen tomorrow.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑01 Dec 2018, 09:44 Bloody hell.. Nearly 800 posts and 30+ pages.. Going back to when this was announced in mid-August..

I'm rooting for The Gypsy King. However, I'm not hater of Wilder, cause I'm not hating anybody and just love the sport too. So if Wilder wins fair-and-square even after losing about 8 rounds and then catching Fury, I won't say anything excusing, like "it was a lucky punch". However, that won't happen, The Gypsy King will prevail!Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑01 Dec 2018, 09:44 As a boxing fan, I don't care who wins.. I like Wilder and Fury.. And the rematch will be the subject, if the upcoming fight leaves questions.

ThThe cuestión is while Wilder can still certainly punch at this weight, will Fury be able to mover well enough mover 12/rounds?
I dont think Fury will win by getting on his bike, he will need to mover Wilder backwards and set the pace

Well put, my thoughts exactly.bigjack wrote: ↑01 Dec 2018, 07:52I think we know what Fury is going to try and do,it's all down to Wilder to stop him fighting his negative way.Spiker wrote: ↑01 Dec 2018, 07:48 The other question is does Fury even have the power to KO Wilder he’s not a one punch concusive hitter like Joshua he wears people down. Now the fight is upon us, i have formed quite a confident opinion on the outcome, Wilder is going to drill him. Klitschko was so gun shy it was embarrassing, no way Wilder goes into a shell like that, he will be throwing plenty of leather, and Fury wont be hard to find IMO. Cunningham hurt Fury quite bad, when he got up from that knockdown he seemed not right to me for a minute or so. Imagine what happens if Wilder lands a clean punch like that. If he gets Fury going, the follow up from Wilder will crush him IMO, he wont be able to keep him off.
I say Wilder KO, early, possibly inside 3.
I hope i am wrong, very wrong, and Fury boxes circles around him.
Re: Deontay Wilder vs. Tyson Fury - 1 December 2018
So many people thinking Fury is going to gas, I've not seen any sign of that from him in the past, always seemed fit for the distance inspite of his poor physical appearance.
Anyway, looking forward to the fight, can't decide who wins which is always nice.

Interesting this. Smaller ring to manuever for Fury.
Might work on both their favours.

Re: Deontay Wilder vs. Tyson Fury - 1 December 2018
Wilder to KO Fury round 7 onwards. Fury will tire, get slower and make mistakes and Wilder will land a bomb in the remaining rounds. Fury will win most of the rounds, so for Wilder to win he must find the KO before he tires himself. I personally don't think Wilder will tire too much but I do think Fury will. I think Fury is old for his years and against Wilder he has only a punchers chance of winning. That said, if Fury does have his full fitness back, maybe he could win on points but I think its unlikely. Wilder needs to go for the body in the early rounds rather than Furys chin but he is so fired up he probably wont. I think Wilders gameplan is simply to KO Fury as early as possible. I am probably wrong but I am going to predict a Wilder KO in round 9

Fury on points is my thinking on this......
