I knew as close as I had it that Gvozdyk wasn't gonna win a decision, but I wouldn't have thought they'd have had the gall to have Stevenson up by that kinda margin.

Im going to give credit to Chickenson's chin.
I rewatched the last round.
He took 3 big right hands then the clinch, then a further 7 right hands before he went beddiebyes.
That's a chin.

This doesn’t mean he hits harder. Stevenson Hirt Gvozdyk with one punch shots.
Gvozdyk hurt Stevenson with combinations and output. Stevenson was shattered that last round.
Re: Adonis Stevenson vs. Oleksandr Gvozdyk - December 1, 2018
Stevenson has been like that a lot, and he's faced some solid punchers before. Gvozdyk also dropped Stevenson early (it was a knockdown that was ruled wrong). Gvozdyk hits harder than Bivol.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑01 Dec 2018, 23:40This doesn’t mean he hits harder. Stevenson Hirt Gvozdyk with one punch shots.

I do not understand how it could have been even if Gvozdyk won any of the first three. I missed the first three rounds.
Gvozd dominated 4-10. I had him winning 5 of those 7. He was definitely on the way to getting robbed.

Awesome ko. So satisfying.
Re: Adonis Stevenson vs. Oleksandr Gvozdyk - December 1, 2018
Yes but the ref missed a knockdown later when Stevenson caught him with a great hook and the ropes kept him up..so the missed knockdown calls went both ways.Ilya Muromets wrote: ↑01 Dec 2018, 22:38
I told you the fix was in had it gone to the judges. Fi!thy sport. I know how they work it. Crooked ref didn't call the clear knockdown in rd 2 or 3 whatecer it was. Filthy boxing. So predictable.

Re: Adonis Stevenson vs. Oleksandr Gvozdyk - December 1, 2018
Overall Gvozdyk was winning quite handily. Yeah, he had some bad moments including that absorbded shot in the 10th, that could have easily been scored as a KD. But Gvozdyk was noticeably better, what led to the eventual brutal stoppage. Finally Stevenson shameful reign is over.
Re: Adonis Stevenson vs. Oleksandr Gvozdyk - December 1, 2018
funny thing is it was stevenson looking worse for wear at the end of the round where he rocked gvozdyk

By the way, Twitter has it that Stevenson is in the hospital in bad condition. Seriously, Gvozdyk hits hard. Stevenson has been fatigued in fights before, and he's taken some good shots while tired. Still, the dude hasn't been stopped since Boone years and years ago.
Re: Adonis Stevenson vs. Oleksandr Gvozdyk - December 1, 2018
gvozdyk doesnt put his body into shots, pretty much an arm puncher, but he does have some hard ktfos and is the onky to stop chilemba, obviously he does have natural power
the ko was bad, i dont like to see guys slumped like that

Re: Adonis Stevenson vs. Oleksandr Gvozdyk - December 1, 2018
I think Gvozdyk beats everyone. It'd be orgasmic to watch master boxers like Gvozdyk and Bivol fight, but Bivol's lack of power and small stature is a bit worrisome. Gvozdyk is just as good while being bigger and having more power.
I still think we haven't seen the best of Beterbiev too. Beterbiev is extremely, extremely dangerous. Not sure when he's finally going to fight one of the big 3, though: Alvarez, Bivol, Gvozdyk. It'd be great to see Beterbiev/Kovalev since they have bad blood.

Getting knocked into the ropes isn't a knockdown.
Re: Adonis Stevenson vs. Oleksandr Gvozdyk - December 1, 2018
Very good win for Gvozdyk. Go for world title in your oponent home and stop him. Very impresive. Stevenson is a dangerous man, that left hand is something special. Stevenson - Pascal can be still big deal in Canada and both can make some millions in that before retire. Gvozdyk, Alvarez, Beterbiev, Bivol, Yarde. Light heavy is interesting

Sad to hear this and hope he’ll be ok. Boxing is no joke.
