You can't be considered "dominant", when you end up lying on your back two times during the fight. It's like saying a pitcher actually threw a no-hitter, if it wasn't for those hits that he gave up in the third seventh and ninth inning. I understand Domination as thoroughly shutting a guy down, and not giving him a moment of control.
Not throwing your hands in the air, throwing your hands behind your back, sticking your tongue out, and generally being a jackass.
He did well in the latter half of the fight, but he started too late to deserve the win IMO.

Re: Tyson Fury was robbed against Deontay Wilder
Apart from those KDs Wilder had almost no success, so overall Fury's performance was quite dominant.HeavyHitters wrote: ↑02 Dec 2018, 02:39You can't be considered "dominant", when you end up lying on your back two times during the fight. Re: Tyson Fury was robbed against Deontay Wilder
Fury should have won that fight and Wilder’s body language immediately after the contest suggested he thought so too.
I haven’t made my mind up yet if it was an actual “robbery” though, since Fury would have had to overcome a four-point deficit over the course of ten rounds, with several of them lacking action.

Re: Tyson Fury was robbed against Deontay Wilder
In "Fury is a Boxing God" land maybe putting your hands behind your back, throwing 'em up in the air and sticking your tongue out repeatedly wins rounds. In the real world it don't.
Re: Tyson Fury was robbed against Deontay Wilder
Yeah this.
The result is fair enough - but the Mexican needs to go back to judging school.

if you dominate the whole fight, win every round except the one were you got caught and got right back up, then you were dominating the whole fight and won every round just got caught 2 times THAT MEANS YOU DOMINATED THE FIGHT. the shit you babble about ballsports has shit to do with boxingHeavyHitters wrote: ↑02 Dec 2018, 02:39You can't be considered "dominant", when you end up lying on your back two times during the fight. Re: Tyson Fury was robbed against Deontay Wilder
You obviously can. Rigondeaux/Donaire was a dominant Rigondeaux victory, and Rigondeaux got put on his ass. Fury almost got stopped and still got back up and won the rest of the round! Fury lost 2 rounds which were knockdowns. I'll be generous and give Wilder one round, but that is the most you can give him.HeavyHitters wrote: ↑02 Dec 2018, 02:39You can't be considered "dominant", when you end up lying on your back two times during the fight. I think you could argue Wilder was robbed with that long ass count Fury was given for that 2nd knock down

And you just contradicted yourself. When you stated he was "dominating the whole fight." He did NOT dominate the whole fight. There were two times in that fight where Wilder dominated, putting Tyson Fury down on his ass! If you would've said he dominated "most of the fight", then I would NOT think you were an idiot.adislav123 wrote: ↑02 Dec 2018, 02:46if you dominate the whole fight, win every round except the one were you got caught and got right back up, then you were dominating the whole fight and won every round just got caught 2 times THAT MEANS YOU DOMINATED THE FIGHT. the poo you babble about ballsports has poo to do with boxingHeavyHitters wrote: ↑02 Dec 2018, 02:39You can't be considered "dominant", when you end up lying on your back two times during the fight. That would be like watching Sven Ottke vs Robin Reid !dagilechia wrote: ↑02 Dec 2018, 02:49imagine Rochin (this mexican dude), Adelaide Byrd and CJ Ross scoring the same fight (especially if it was a Canelo or Wilder's fight)
I actually thought Martin Murray got proper robbed by Sergio Martinez. It wasn't a bad decision as such - it was close - it was the fact that they used the new VAR system to check whether it was a KnockDown or not. It WAS a knockdown and they ruled it wasn't.
They just weren't going to let an Argie lose to a Brit in front of 50,000 stadium fight in Buenos Aries - never.

Re: Tyson Fury was robbed against Deontay Wilder
the judge who scored it for wilder was paid off, fact, no other explanation than again corruption.
it is what it is, still i`m dissapointed by fury, had a bet on him knocking wilder out and wilder was waiting for it. fury too nervous, hesitant and sometimes rightaway stupid. still he won every round minus the 2. and clearly the fight.
fact is the gypsy king is back

Re: Tyson Fury was robbed against Deontay Wilder
it's so sad that boxing fans need to argue over decision, controversies, robberies etc so often...it's rare than in a close fight the scorecards are usually so different. They're supposed to be experts but they score fights just like random fans.

Re: Tyson Fury was robbed against Deontay Wilder
I scored it a draw but I did lose my stream briefly around the fifth round. So if I had watched it fully I would have scored it one way or the other.
Some rounds were pretty close and without much action, so I can see why there are differences in how people scored them.

Re: Tyson Fury was robbed against Deontay Wilder
Of course he was. All they want is that rematch money.
As soon as they did the interviews all they could ask them about is the rematch, when's the rematch! Is there gonna be a rematch! Where will the rematch be!
Pathetic.

With all the respect to rounds scoring system - it's not right to give the belt to the fighter that was KD twice in a fight and didn't land any "wow" punch on the champ
So, draw is a reasonable decision and I'll love to watch Wilder-Fury II.

Fury won 9 rounds. Even the rounds where he was knocked down, he finished the rounds stronger.
Re: Tyson Fury was robbed against Deontay Wilder
I had 115 even. The four first rounds were all very close for me. But i must rewatch.
