Camon man, you haven't given Wilder a single round outside the knockdowns.rhino222 wrote: ↑02 Dec 2018, 07:50 Rhinos official scorecard

9 fury 8-10 wilder
10 fury 10-9 wilder
11 fury 10-9 wilder

Fury is starting to have the Floyd effect, doing sweet F*ck all for 3 minutes seems to equate to some kind of masterclass. It's ridiculous.

Re: WILDER VS FURY, ROUND BY ROUND
What a fight and what a performance from Fury, I did actually have Wilder nicking it 114-112, the knockdowns swaying it, I can defo see Fury winning as well though there were a few rounds which I could've gave to him but didn't, he showed incredible heart to get up from 2 big KDs, the one in the last round especially looked a finisher
Fury boxed excellently for the most part, was calm, composed and elusive for large spells, he done a great jab of avoiding the wild swings of Wilder, I thought Wilder was a bit gunshy and was always wary of being countered, Fury jabbed superbly, countered well with the left hook and was able to dip under the attacks of Wilder, he landed some crisp straight right hands as well which steadied Wilder once or twice
The KD in the 9th turned things around in Wilder's favour as he was falling way behind but credit to Fury he got up and took control later in the round, Wilder looked puffed out going for the KO, same with the much heavier KD in the 12th, I thought by the end Fury regained control as Wilder gassed, that was a big knockdown though
Seems everyone had Fury winning comfortably and I cant argue with that too much, I just thought he was a bit lazy in a couple of the rounds, still what a performance to step up to this level after Seferi and Pianeta, gutted he never got it, gotta be a rematch

It's yet another case of woeful commentry whipping the casuals into a "corrupt robbery!!!" Frenzy.
Barry Jones card was woeful. He literally stated "Fury did nothing in that round" at the end of the 5th. At the start of 6 his unofficial scorecard comes on the screen and he has r5 as 10-9 Fury.
Not much happened at all in the first half of the fight, infact i thought scoring was rather obvious - Wilders control of the centre combined with his stiffer jab and power to back Fury up was enough to win him 4 of the first 6.
Fury did find another gear in the 6th onwards imo and Wilder looked out of ideas. The knockdowns combined with some close-but-clear Wilder rounds give him the win on the cards.
Fury won the hearts though, no doubt. Brilliant effort in the 12th, i tip my hat to him.

I thought Fury nicked it but could see a draw coming, even before the knockdowns *.
It's the same as the Wlad fight: he plans on just stealing the round, no more no less. The problem with that is, of course, if you only land 8 punches that don't move the other guy & the other fella lands 5 but two of his send you scurrying back to the ropes mugging furiously, I don't think you can complain when at the end rounds you "definitely" won are scored the other way.
I mean, you can, obviously & plenty of people will.
*: I said it before the fight (YAY me) that his recovery's ridiculous, & I'll say it again: his recovery's ridiculous.

Delighted for Fury that he put on a performance, didn’t lose, reputation restored and enhanced and his health is still in tact. Nice few million dollars in his account too after this.
I bet BJS is feeling sour today. £70k poorer this morning.

Re: WILDER VS FURY, ROUND BY ROUND
I haven't heard anyone else say it, but wasnt there a clear mistake on the scorecard which went to Fury?
Shouldn't it have been 114-112 rather than 114-110. Doesnt make a difference just surprised it wasnt mentioned

Re: WILDER VS FURY, ROUND BY ROUND
Just rewatched and rescored the fight which I never do, first time around I had it 114-112 Wilder and this time I had it 115-111, Fury, pretty straightforward scoring this time actually
Re: WILDER VS FURY, ROUND BY ROUND
I've not been a fan of Fury, either as a person or fighter. He did really earn some respect from me last night (doubt he cares but...).
To the point I was so impressed with his display that when he was poleaxed in the 12th I leapt up screaming NOOOOO!!
And then he rose.
fornicating incredible to be fair. I take my hat off to him after that.

Just to clarify I'm not a hat wearer.
Re: WILDER VS FURY, ROUND BY ROUND
I'm the same and have never been a fan of Fury .
His best performance prior to this fight was the second chisora fight.
I have to say I thought he was fantastic across the board .
He conducted himself very, very well out of the ring and produced a performance in the ring to be proud of .
I thought he was the clear winner on the night .
I'm happy to say I got it wrong and hopes he keeps in shape ready for future .

Re: WILDER VS FURY, ROUND BY ROUND
What I do in a disputed fight , and maybe this is how a fight should be scored when you've got 3 judges. I go to the scorecards and take the majority result for each round. That is if two judges score a round 10-9, and the other judge scores it 9-10, then the round is given to the boxer with the majority score.
Now have a look at the Fury v Wilder scorecards !!!!
