"King Kong" Ortiz wins by 10th rd TKO
What did you think of Luis Ortiz stopping Travis Kaufman last night? Who would you like to see Ortiz matched up with next?

I wasn’t impressed with Luis Ortiz’s performance last night, but admittedly there were brief spells during the bout where he looked pretty decent.
In terms of the Cuban’s next opponent, I think he’ll be protected and matched against a journeyman, as he’ll be reserved for Wilder rematch.
It doesn’t make any sense for a veteran that is engaging in the final few bouts of his career, to take huge risks for small paydays, when he’s almost guaranteed an opportunity to receive a highly-lucrative rematch against Deontay Wilder.

It was just kinda a going through the motions performance. Kauffman was there to survive, and Ortiz just kinda played with him, and picked him apart at will.
Might as well put Ortiz in with another one of the big names again before it's too late. He's pretty slow, and surely doesn't have a lot of time left in the sport at this level so if he's gonna get another crack at a World Title might as well get to it.

Fury's performance exposed how fairly average Ortiz is...and how overated Wilder was.
there's no way Ortiz performance could give him a better claim for a title shot over Miller or Whyte

so so showing. showed some of his strengths with pretty sharp punching and strength....but was slow ..plodding...and really yet again never showed much of an ability to up the pace or put shots together sustained..which imo prevents him from ever being elite. that type of thing makes it hard to win in a tough fight
ive seen some say hes more dangerous then aj.....LOL

First of all, Kauffman switched to survival mode quickly, but Ortiz wasn't probably even thinking of being sharper, he wanted to get used to working rationally, cause his stamina wasn't that good and had spoiled a lot for him in his biggest fight.

What Ortiz should get is a rematch with Wilder because of the referee and ring doctor BS they pulled in the first fight when Ortiz was about to knock him out in round 8.

I feel the same way. Ortiz has lost what he had 2 years ago. Wilder should not have gone life and death with this plodding version of Ortiz.funso banjo baby wrote: ↑02 Dec 2018, 14:00 Fury's performance exposed how fairly average Ortiz is...and how overated Wilder was.
